Book Description

ForNevermore Season One: Books 1-6 (The paranormal serial begins!)

From the writers of the groundbreaking post-apocalyptic serial Yesterday’s Gone, comes a dark new fantasy horror serial, ForNevermore.

All 17 year old Noella Snow ever wanted was a normal life.

But normal died with her mother, minutes after she was born. Then again when her father was murdered before her eyes on her seventh birthday. Now she spends her days in quiet misery, an outcast at school, harboring a secret crush on her best friend, Sam.

Noella’s only happiness lies in her dreams, in a world where her father still lives and Dante, a mysterious stranger with a deadly touch, guards over her.

Now those dreams have turned to nightmares as Noella begins hearing voices, witnessing murders she can’t possibly know of, and seeing the monsters from her sleep merging into her waking life.

Noella doesn’t want to return to King’s Point, the psychiatric hospital where she was forced to go after an “episode” two years earlier.

She tells herself she’s better.

But then one night Noella sees the impossible... Dante, watching her from afar, as he has for centuries – nearly as long as he's loved her.

Is Noella losing her mind? Or is she linked to a hidden world, destined to be normal ForNevermore?

ForNevermore is a bold new paranormal serial, with awesome cliffhanger endings that will make you feel like you’re watching your favorite TV show right on your Kindle.

ForNevermore Season One collects all six “episodes” in their entirety into one full-length book for the first time.

BONUS: Interviews with the authors included in the Season One compilation.

"ForNevermore Season 1: Episodes 1-6 a paranormal serialized thriller by co-authors Sean Platt and David W. Wright. This Kindle e-book was a 475 Kb download and was priced at $4.99 at the time of writing this review.

PLEASE NOTE: I've been provided with an advanced copy of this book and every book in the ForNevermore series by the authors in return for honest reviews.

I will not bother to go into the story itself other than to say it revolves around a 17 year old girl, Noella, who has some 'special' abilities. It has been classified by the authors as Young Adult (YA), featuring paranormal horror with a smidgen of fantasy, mythology and sci-fiction.

Some thoughts on Season 1: Episode 1-6...

The Pros:

1.) a novel intended for a YA audiences (even designated as such by the authors themselves) BUT, it has moments when even adults who dislike the genre (that would be me) will be happily turning the pages of this action packed thriller.

2.) well written with a superb sense of pace and timing for some unexpected happenings and events that border on the sensational.

3.) little or no fill... this is an action story with nearly always something vital going on or about to happen.

4.) short, easy reads... each episode consumable within an hour.

5.) a tight plot that stays within the realm of believability (within the context of the story and its setting)

6.) cliff hanger ending of several episodes.

7.) potential, but as yet, unrealized young love... but you know it's there!

8.) in all honesty, the only episode I disliked was No 3. which featured a couple teen girls trashing their peers behind their backs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Help Keep This Series Going! September 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I am a big fan of Platt & Wright. I own everything they've published. I initially resisted this series for the same reason everyone else that has read their stories have... Young Adult? No gore? No cursing? No sex? WTF? That isn't Platt and Wright! But I'm an avid fan of theirs (they know me as Westside Ron, which has to do with Sean and I), and devour just about everything they write. I am a member of their newsletter, so I don't miss out on anything, and peruse their website... [...] all the time. I was disheartened to hear that they considered ForNevermore a failure, and while obligated to a second series, might not continue, so I had to see what it was about. I bit the bullet, and ordered the entire first season, mostly to support the authors and the series, but also to see what the series had to offer. THIS IS AN AWESOME STORY! To be honest, I've only started on the first episode, but it got me hooked within the first few pages... few books do that to me... most require about the first fifty pages. I'm actually in the middle of re-reading Stephen King's "Salems Lot"... one of the few books that ever scared me to the point where I was looking into the shadows months after reading it, it's going to be awhile before I can give a review on the entire first season. But if what I've read is any indication, it's going to be a heck of a ride!

I don't know how this actually got classified as Young Adult... it is as quality dark fiction as any other major writer you will find out there... just because it doesn't have the signature Platt & Wright language, gore, and sex, does not mean it is any less well written or less of a story than anything out there by any of your other horror / dark fantasy authors. Give it a try...

5.0 out of 5 stars Converted! May 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I decided to give ForNevermore a second chance. Although I loved the authors' first serialized smash hit, Yesterday's Gone, I really couldn't get into the first two chapters of ForNevermore. The storytelling chops were present, don't get me wrong, but I just wasn't enjoying the Young Adult slant.

I left a review of episode one which, in retrospect, is like dismissing an orange before peeling it completely. Now that I've tasted the entire fruit of their labors, I commend Platt and Wright for producing an awesome story that transcends genre-specific labels.

You have a handful of other reviews that go into detail about the subject matter in ForNevermore, so I won't repeat them. This review is for readers who like their action quick and hard: you won't get quick, okay? But, if you just stay with them, I promise you, Platt and Wright deliver hard, nail-biting action and standard-setting cliff-hangers that will have you reading just one more chapter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Addictive!!! April 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I waited a while to purchase this book because I wanted to have all six episodes at once, and I must say it was worth the wait. I am addicted to Yesterday's Gone, and now I am addicted to Fornevermore! The characters, the story line, it's all addicting. I was at first skeptical of reading these kind of "episode" books, so I figured I would try one episode of Yesterday's gone and from just one episode I was hooked, and with Fornevermore it's just as addictive. I really enjoyed reading it and I am anticipating the second season!

love this series!
Hi Lineola,

So glad you took a chance on, and are enjoying ForNevermore!

I'm nowhere near "young" either (except, perhaps, at heart and mind... where it counts the most).

I had asked David during our discussion of Z about the release schedule of some of their other works, but... Read more
