Forbes Field Build It Yourself has 104 pages, is a 9"x12 3/4" softcover book featuring 28 never-published color photographs of Forbes Field from the 50's, 60's and 70's and supplement a nostalgic history of Pittsburgh's Forbes Field. There are 24 plates containing 215 pieces that will enable you to build a full color 7"high x 22" wide x 30" long scale replica of Forbes Field from the ivy-covered red brick wall, the 1960 World Series, to the batting cage in center field, the Left Field bleachers and the Iron Gate.

Len Martin is President of Point Four Ltd. and Point Four Sports in Oakmont, PA and author of Fenway Park Build It Yourself. Point Four Ltd. is a graphic design firm specializing in engineering, mechanical and architectural illustration and design. He is from Sharon, PA and a 1972 graduate of Youngstown State University.

I'm normally not a model builder, and I never saw Forbes Field, but I really enjoyed putting this ballpark model together. The quality of the design is tremendous, and the finished product is display-worthy. A nice gift idea for native Pittsburghers. The enterprise is very much doable, but this is no two-day project. If you aren't willing to put some energy into it, you're better off with a jigsaw puzzle.

A must for the classic ballpark enthusiast. A real challange for the model builder but well worth the time and effort.An excellent tribute to the "Old Lady of Schenly Park.
