I grew up with all the classic SciFi Movies and remembered all the neat robots from way back when. I finally got this and it is a good project to paint and put up on the model shelf next to my other Robot models from the past.

Good looking model when finished. Took a little work cleaning up parts before assembly, but everything fitted well. Careful painting is required but worth the effort.

This model is black instead of the original cream color.
There is much less painting involved unless you want to customize the color.
With a name like Polar Lights you would think the model would light up.
It doesn't.
I would have gladly paid more for a lighted version.
All in all the detail is fantastic.
The size is perfect, not to big or too small.
I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does not come with a light kit included.

All my parts went together purfectly. It is a good size for display. I made my own base never could make rock look right.

This is a great classic kit! Parts are available for the serious modeler to make other versions. A great buy for the classic SiFi nut!

Didn't realize I was purchasing a plastic assembly model - it's still cool but so lightweight and the balance makes it seem very fragile/tippy.

My fault, I should of asked, but I dont remember anywhere in the advertisement that this toy needs to be put together and painted.
