I caught this movie on the Lifetime Movie Network.

Many of these movies are ok to watch once but I doubt if you'll ever go back and watch them again.

For one thing the chances that these plots could ever happen in real life is about one in 84 billion.

She has a locket that her murdered aunt gave her that contains a secret key that unlocks a mysterious room which contains a vcr that is still working after decades. Now what do you think the chances are that an old house would have a secret room with a two way mirror and a hidden video camera ? Actually they never tell you why it was even there in the first place.

And just by some 'coincidence' one of the few people on earth who would have known that the locket contained a key happened to be the contractor who was working on her house. He had somehow seen a similar locket in his travels. Anyway the key comes in handy at the end for more than just unlocking the secret room.

Her mother is insane and by some strange coincidence she ends up in bed with the mother's doctor.

That same doctor violates every medical protocol in the book and smuggles her out of the insane asylum where she was strapped to the bed, apparently following in her mother's footsteps.

Anyway if you've got nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon you might enjoy it.

The best thing about this Canadian looking lifetime movie is Kristy Swanson. Her suspicious looking friends and beaux pique one's interest about who bears her ill will. She is divorcing a control freak with muscles and has a strange nebbishy therapist uncle type as her confidante in addition to a Canadian mild mannered contractor and a redheaded friend (or is she?)

I enjoyed watching this movie. It was easy. I hated the flashbacks but ultimately the story came through as well as Kristy Swanson's typical determination.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It was made in Montreal and the brownstone was just stunning (I love old houses). It keeps you in suspense from the beginning to 3/4 of the way through, never quite knowing who were the good guys and the bad guys. While in the midst of a divorce, the woman moves back into her childhood home after her husband freezes all of her assets.

Things start to get really interesting as she begins having flashbacks and nightmares. This was the home where her aunt was murdered and she nearly died. Her friend is a little too caring and her contractor seems to know too much about the house. Then there is the very caring psychiatrist she has known since her traumatic childhood experience as well as her controlling soon to be ex husband, neither of whom want to let her go. They all seem to care about her but things are not as they appear or are they? She, herself, seems to be going insane. Add in the handsome new dr who is treating her mother and trying to figure out the meaning behind all of the pictures that she's drawn throughout the years at the institution and you've got a great whodunit.

I don't want to give the plot away. It was a really good, suspenseful film. I know it's good when I have to watch it through my hands occasionally! The house itself was stunning and I loved how quite a bit of the film was filmed inside the old mansion. I figured out the 'whodunit' about half way through, but didn't know the reason why until the end.

This was one of the better Lifetime movies...I highly recommend it as it keeps you guessing long into the movie.

It must be good because I still can recall some of the scenes in the movie. Kristy looked mature though since her role in Duffy, the Vampire Slayer.
