Strip club owner on trial for murder,
This review is from: Forbidden Sins [VHS] (VHS Tape)
1998 R-rated Erotic Thriller (Murder Mystery, Legal - Courtroom battle), for nudity, and language. Caution: Nudity, profanity, and bondage (and breath-control). 90 mins.
Credits: Shannon Tweed (Maureen Doherty; "Night Eyes"), Corbin Timbrook (David Mulholland; TV: "Supernatural"), Timothy Vahle (Brian Armstrong), Myles O'Brien (Myles O'Brien; "Last Detour"), Amy Lindsay (Molly Malone; TV: "Bikini Tie Nights"), and Kristine Carlstrand (Virginia Hill; Junior Pilot). Directed by Robert Angelo ("Last Cry"), and written by Daryl Haney and Hel Styverson. Plot: A stripper (Virginia Hill) is murdered and the police are on the case. They immediately suspect the "sometime" boyfriend (Mulholland), the owner of the strip club. He is arrested by a Detective Doherty and ends up on trial. A showing her age Tweed steps in as his defense attorney, and is the ex-wife of the detective. Review: Good music. You know what type of movie you are in for when Tweed stars in it, and this one confirms it with immediate nudity at a strip club (hot women, no odd piercings; strip club is one of those full-nudity deals). You also expect somewhat subpar acting from a Tweed movie (some good, some bad, mostly borderline). And yet again, the audience isn't disappointed (in that the audience gets what they expect, the acting is pretty much subpar - exhibit one: defendant's statement to potential defense attorney that he is innocent isn't particularly well delivered; some of the acting is good, though; and after a while, the acting doesn't seem that bad). After the strip club scene, there is a scene back at one of the strippers houses (Virginia Hill), where a man suddenly appears sitting in the bedroom with a gun and mentions how she must love having them watch her, and then tells her to strip for him, showing him how much of what she does is like a cheap street walker. Interesting scene, attractive woman, acting isn't that bad. Woman ends up dead, police suspect the owner of the strip club (those clubs most pay well, he lives in a mansion). It's interesting that this particular defense attorney cares about whether her client is guilty or not. Also interesting is that the detective and attorney care about the polygraph examine when it isn't particularly respected anymore and definitely not admissible. Even move interesting is that Tweed would sleep with her client during the trial, both unethical, and just plain stupid (despite the fact that it is something of a movie cliché). Despite its shortcomings, the movie is interesting, and the mystery is intriguing. Overall, I would give the movie 4.28 (somewhat lower grade due to some of the nudity, some of the acting, and somewhat unneeded or illogical plot twists).

A good erotic video with the worst ending,
By A Customer
This review is from: Forbidden Sins [VHS] (VHS Tape)
A good film that could be rated with 4 stars if the ending would not be so desastrous. Its the story of the owner of a night club that's judged for the homicide of a streap teese dancer. Shannon Tweed, his lawyer, is really good (physically) but a girl whose name i dont know ("Molly Malone" in the film)is simply fantastic and really horny. She is too gorgeous to be a human being. See it.

Amy Lindsay is the actress the previous reviewer loved,

This review is from: Forbidden Sins [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Amy Lindsay is indeed a fetching actress. She can also be seen in an episode of the Cinemax series "Pleasure Zone" called "Foreign Affairs" and on the DVD "Girls of the B Movies."
