More About the Author

I write in a number of fields, but always with the hope of telling an interesting tale that will incite a reader to think for himself or herself, to examine his or her own place in the world, and offer a little nudge in the direction of dreams, faith, and personal growth in spite of whatever odds a person has to face. I also believe we were all put here for a purpose. Hopefully, several purposes. I'm a father, a little league coach, a teacher, a friend, and a writer. I struggle to keep that balance, as many of us do these days, but I hold tightly to the belief that I'm doing all I can be doing, and doing what I should be doing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Reasonably good, needs more info and less photos, March 17, 2000

I'm gaming guide for bellaonline.com and when I saw the previews for Jet Force Gemini, I instantly went out and bought it. We grabbed a copy of this book after finishing the game to see if we missed anything. We hadn't, but the book did! Despite their overly-detailed microsecond-by-microsecond photos, there were mistakes and wrong information. It would have been better if they gave the instructions in a more logical manner, and cut out on the gloss. It's OK if you want reading material to look at pictures, but for real information you can do much better than this elsewhere.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad! Not bad at all!, September 20, 2000

this is a verey good guide.no maps but you dont really need them with all the screen shots. a small bit of info is wrong but it dont realy matter.some of it makes you want to yell "DUH!"because it covers every millisecond of the game (sometimes twice). this guide is essential if you want to beat the game with your sanity intact.it can be a bit tricky to find what you want to know.they should of cut down on the fancy pictures and made it a bit more interesting to read. however it is defently worth its price.its a big help and i thank everyone at prima for making such a awesome guide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Family Man, September 24, 2009

The golden line, that's a point where video games show a playful young heart that keeps the gun play from getting dark and seedy.
This game is a "shooter" and a good "shooter" game by any measure (on the same level with Halo as the enemy has good artificial intelligence). But in contrast with most modern "shooter" games it stays close to what is at the heart of the fun, 'TAG'. Just like paint ball, or Nerf guns, the true fun of a shooter is in the hunt and chase (not the gore).
Rainbow colored 'bug juice' and a cheat code that puts the enemy in diapers, this is a game that walks the golden line perfectly, a playful hunt and chase that plays with our natural disdain for insects. There is tension and drama here, but the real threat is in how effective of a rescuer you are.
The guide book has its hands full with this expansive adventure, but if you dont want to miss out on a single weapon to use against these smart but funny and disgusting bugs then this guide book is a must!
Modern games are missing the mark on what adults want. We want to play like we're kids again, but with adult skill and precision. This game does that beautifully.
