5.0 out of 5 stars Good pair of late-night tv headphones

Overall I like the headphones, but mostly because they are wireless and work with the Wii. I have no major complaints with the sound and it's adequate for what I use them for (casual gaming). I like the on/off switch and the volume control, which are both on the headset. My one complaint is that my ears get tired/sore after having them on for an hour or so and normally when I finally get a chance to play I play for a couple of hours so I generally come away with sore ears when using them. The soreness goes away after a 1/2 hour or so of not wearing them, but the design needs to be improved for a more comfortable fit.

I bought these wireless headphones so that I could watch TV late at night
without bothering my wife. So far, they've been just what I was looking for.
The headphones are very light and have their own volume control so there's
no need to adjust the volume from the remote. The neckband is not adjustable,
but I haven't found a need to do so. I believe that some of the reviewers
thought the neckband was supposed to be worn over the head which would certainly
be to small for an adult, but worn correctly, I have not found this to be
the case. My only complaint, and it's fairly minor, is that I have to be
careful on the placement on my head so that the neckband isn't uncomfortable
to the tops of my ears. I would have liked a little better design in that
respect. Still, for the price, I find them hard to beat. I also see that the
price from Amazon has dropped a few cents from when I bought them, but I
do think they're easily worth the price. I probably would not use them to listen
to the stereo given the sound quality, but it is quite decent for TV sound.
Admittedly, I have them connected to a TV with only mono output and have not
tried them with a better source, so "your mileage may vary". The headset runs
on a single AAA battery and I have not had to replace it yet after several
hours of use. Just don't forget to turn them off (with the built-in on/off
switch) when you're not using them.

I purchased these headphones as a cheap solution for hearing the tv while using a loud treadmill fan. The headphones work well.

The headphones do not exactly fit my big head but it's good enough. I wear them as much as 45 minutes at a time without issue. Note that these are infra red headphones so you need a clear line of sight between the headphones and the transmitter. At least when u do lose the signal, you dont get the loud static noise in your ear.

When playing games, it can get a little loud. When I tried to bowl my Shelties reacted as loudly as the sound effects of the bowling alley.
Now they wonder why I am moving quietly and stare at me like I am crazy, and I can play and have fun. Great Buy

I bought this because I like to play my games at night and still be able to hear them without the rest of the family having to put up with the music and sound effects. These work but I think they are more designed for children with the way the headset wraps around the ear. If I am wearing these for more than an hour they begin to hurt my ears from the uncomfortable plastic applying pressure on my ears. I have since given these to my 9 year old daughter and placing an order for the model that has cushioned ear support and the strapping is designed to go on top of your head instead of going behind your neck.

Pretty nice piece of gear for 20 bucks. I sit about 15 feet away and reception and sound quality are excellent. Sound quality is good. Headphones aren't the biggest but I'm an average adult and then fit fine. Could be a little more comfortable for a long session, but overall I'm very pleased. The receiver unit needs to be plugged in to wall outlet but it does have a long cord. The headset takes one AAA battery which is included.

Wow, received in 2 days all the way from Nevada to Tennessee. Plus the earphone/headphones are exactly what I needed. Plug and play and I didn't find them cheaply made or have a problem with the fit. Now I can play with my Wii without disturbing my husband. My expensive Sony wireless headphones were touchy and did not allow any movement. So, I learned to play with the sound turned off, however, you cannot play Tales of Monkey Island with no sound. Very happy with Amazon shipping and this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Early Morning Gaming, August 7, 2009

I am a morning person, and work out with Wii Fit and Gold's Gym Cardio Workout every day earlier than most people care to wake up. As I am planning to continue my Wii workout habits in college next year, I knew it would be vital to get some sort of wireless headphones so as not to disturb my roommate. I was hesitant after seeing that they were $40 at Walmart but was relieved to see them here on Amazon at half the price.

These headphones use infrared technology to receive sound through an attachment to the Wii and the headphones themselves run on one AAA battery. They work as long as you are within sight of the attachment transmitting the sound. The sound quality is decent and you can keep the attachment connected to the Wii while still keeping the Wii audio connected to the TV, meaning you don't have to hassle with plugging and unplugging AV cables.

My only small issue with these headphones is that the sound quality, while decent, could be better. That cost it a fifth star in my rating.

Overall, I am pleased with the product and I would buy it again.

I've been using Turtle Beach headsets for a while for Xbox and PC and was always disappointed that they hadn't released something for the PlayStation. Even though this is advertised for the Wii it also works on the PS3. The wireless connectivity is good but the headset itself is a little small. These are only headphones, although Turtle Beach makes other models that include a microphone I haven't tested their use on the PS3.

I just received these a few days ago. I intentionally got them to play games and watch Netflix on my Wii.

Getting the headphones out of the plastic case was actually more difficult than the hooking them up to the TV/Wii. They seemed to work fine for the first hour I used them. Then...the next time I tried to use them, I was having issues with them just cutting out. I had to mess with the on/off switch for a while, but doing so would only correct the problem for a few seconds. I'm not sure if I had some kind of interference with other electronic devices or if it just had to work out some kinks, but...now they seem to work fine.

The sound quality could be a little better, but it's expected for the price (I paid about $20). I think they are sufficient enough for what I use them for, and the price wasn't too bad. The design (back of head over ears) is pretty cheesy but...all in all a pretty decent buy.
