5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding
This outstanding piece of work from Stuart Wilde covers how we (everything that is) are all a manifestation of The Force energy. The Force may be called the Infinite, the Supreme, love, The Creator, etc. Each name though has certain connotations with it that may define it, and in doing so limit it. I like the term The Force in that it clearly refers to energy. Stuart...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for the Beginner
This is a great little book that someone can sit down in one day and finish reading. It is definately a beginners book in the metaphysical realm. I've enjoyed Stuart Wilde's books for some time now and if your new to concepts such as "The external world is a reflection of your inner self", then this is a great book for you. If you have been reading metaphysical books...

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Force (Paperback)
This outstanding piece of work from Stuart Wilde covers how we (everything that is) are all a manifestation of The Force energy. The Force may be called the Infinite, the Supreme, love, The Creator, etc. Each name though has certain connotations with it that may define it, and in doing so limit it. I like the term The Force in that it clearly refers to energy. Stuart talks about how the less spiritually evolved you may be, your energy is "vibrating" at a lower speed and thus attracts similar "lower energy". It's just a law on how The Force (energy) works. Similarly, as you develop spiritually your energy begins to increase (vibrating at a faster speed) and you also attract like energy or a higher energy. There is no good or bad, it is all energy. So, your life is a reflection of your energy patterns. If you have a lower energy, negative thoughts, closely tied into the physical world then that is what you will attract. Someone in this pattern will experience a lot of issues in their life, difficulties and problems. Lower energy people will be part of your life which means a lot of negative people. This can be known as Karma. Although there is no emotional attachment with it - no punishing or sin type of thing, just like energy attracting like energy. The good news is you can raise your energy continuously. As you raise it, by what Stuart refers to as discipline, you control your destiny and experience a more peaceful, happy life as a result of higher energy attracting higher energy. "Discipline" is your ability to connect with your higher self and let The Force be you in physical form. This means seeing everything as one - God, you, everything. Realizing that your body deserves respect, and eating and living healthy as a result of this. He refers to having an alkaline lifestyle as opposed to acid lifestyle. Alkaline will raise your energy. This is your diet, music, color, your thoughts (negative thoughts are "acid"). Judgment is negative and lowers your energy. Understanding that everyone has the right to their own experience, and being somewhat detached from the world - in an emotional level that lets you see things happening knowing that they are for the good of all. Not judging events or people, but recognizing The force in all. Having faith that everything is happening as it should. All of this will raise your energy so you can continue growing and continue to experience a more enriching life on the physical plane.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS LITTLE BOOK IS A REAL EYE OPENER, June 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Force (Paperback)
I received "THE FORCE" in the mail one day from a still unknown source in 1985, much intrigued read it. It shocked and horrified me at the same time, up until that point I thought all my sorrows were something I had to live with, grin and bare. Mr. Wilde knows how to reach deep down to the core of our being and shake up the all the useless junk we 've been taught to think and believe. Reading this lead me to read another book "YOU'LL SEE IT WHEN YOU BELIEVE IT" by Dr. Wayne Dyer.

These two books started me on the road to healing my broken spirit by showing how to begin healing myself with tools that were always there. Mr.Wilde has a way of smacking us awake into the spiritual side of our being much like the day we were born and smacked on the butt to help bring us into the physical world. A whole wonderful truth is opened up by reading Wilde books that shows us we are the masters of our destinies IF we care enough and want real change. He makes us realise that we are our biggest problem by how we think and live. I thank Mr. Wilde and all the writers I've read like him for truly saving my life and starting me on a lifetime of real change and discovery. I can't wait to read "WHISPERING WINDS OF CHANGE" also by Mr. Wilde my brother just sent it to me.

4.0 out of 5 stars WILD & WONDERFUL, July 6, 2000
This review is from: The Force (Paperback)
I suggest you read his book Affirmations first, before this one and the others in the Taos Quartet. He continues his discussion of the universal life force here, in the chapters entitled: Reincarnation, guides & the higher self; Understanding the force; Developing a flow of communication; Four disciplines of the initiates; Love of the force sets you free; and Your life's ultimate goal. Wilde has a very unique style of writing and all his books are interesting - I just don't think the suggested exercises always work or are always applicable. I am not sure I agree with his dietary recommendations either. Nevertheless, this is a good read, especially for his take on the different "selves" and the discussion of vibrational patterns. I think that the mere act of reading his books raises one's vibrations!

I teach psychic development. When a student asks me if there is something they can read in preparation for the class, I always recommend The Force. It gives basic elements in a unique and fresh way. Stuart is a good writer and I think if you've found this page, you're ready for the book! Linda Schiller-Hanna Clairvoyant

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read, October 10, 2007
This review is from: The Force (Paperback)
This, I believe is SW's best book. I have read it a few times, lent it out to lose it, repurchased and still read it as if new. I guess the concepts are so fresh and exhilarating. My favorite part is where every event has its own frequency of vibration and your life will draw those events that match your predominant vibratory rate, which you can set yourself. The ultimate freedom and power.

This author is my favorite since Lobsang Rampa left us.

Highly recommended to any who have a strong desire for knowledge beyond the usual claptrap we are exposed to.

This is a great little book that someone can sit down in one day and finish reading. It is definately a beginners book in the metaphysical realm. I've enjoyed Stuart Wilde's books for some time now and if your new to concepts such as "The external world is a reflection of your inner self", then this is a great book for you. If you have been reading metaphysical books for at least a couple of years, you would do better with one of Stuart's other books such as "Inifinite Self"....which I feel is one of his best, and encompasses all of his ideas into a single book.

Summarized, this book is about seeing the world around you as a teacher, rather then something you have been subjected to. That there is no "sin", because sin is just a moral standard that is completely subjective....we should look at everything as a method to learn and grow from. This book also goes into detail on how to be disciplined on your spiritual path. Keep in mind, this book was first published in 1984, so it was probably written in 1982 or 1983....and the time, this was a great step in the right direction. But today, things are different, energy is moving faster....and spiritual paths are easier to follow. What I mean is, you don't need to get up at 3 in the morning and throw yourself into a cold lake to shake up your ego. You don't need to move rocks from one side of the back yard to the other. You don't NEED discipline because that only anchors you HERE, in this reality. What is real is beyond this reality, so why would you want to be anchored more in this?

The real is the higher realms....becoming multi-dimensional is the goal now, and before that was difficult to achieve. Not anymore....my, have we grown!!

This review is from: The Force (Paperback)
This book was great for helping sort through all the issues and keeping a clear idea of why we are here and how to make the most of it. It's such a small and easy to read book, it's worth it to have extra copies to pass on.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Powerful Little Book, May 26, 2000

Michael JORDAN (Perth, Western Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Force (Paperback)
I stumbled upon this short book by accident, although I'm an avid reader of books on consciousness and inner development. It concisely and unerringly deals with what many of us know intuitively about the way that things are. Some of the material may be unpalatable for some readers, but Stuart Wilde directs us to truth and the rules that govern our progress, without avoiding any issues. He has a powerful, direct style and one senses that the message is too important to waste time on borderline issues.
