Recently bought this set from oem select and had it installed by ford techs , all parts are ford oem that's a plus , but old style phaserwith light coil springs ford has redesigned the phaser in 08 , and have a heavy duty spring now ,, needless to say 700.00$ in labor to have this set installed and the price of the set ,, and having to open the engine a second time to replace a defective phaser 150.00$ ,,, I wish I would have bought from crane cams ,,, I have 200 miles on this install and going back into the shop for new phaser that oem select sent me ,,, will see how this ends up ,,

The kit looked good but when I started the truck the pins on the phaser on bank two broke off and it ruined the phaser and the line up hole in the cam.I had to buy a new cam and phaser at from a ford dealer at retail price for $400.00 dollars. This was on my son in laws truck and we had no time to send it back for replacement. He is a Marine just back from Afganistan home on leave and had to go back to North Carolina. Everthing was done by the book checked and double checked. There was no reason this should have happened. The new cam and phaser worked great. I would not waste my money or the time to tear it down twice again
Spend the extra money and get genuine ford parts.
