5.0 out of 5 stars Chilton's and Haynes Manuals, April 15, 2011

This review is from: Ford Courier 1972-82: All Models (Chilton's Repair & Tune-Up Guide) (Paperback)
For the do it yourselfer, we know that working on a vehicle can either be a breeze, or a nightmare depending on the part being replaced or the service being performed. Its very important to have a good manual and for most vehicles you have the Haynes manual, which is a great basic manual for tuneups and other repairs, but having both the Chilton's and Haynes manual can help out quite a bit because then you have two references for your repair job.

This Manuel provides clear diagrams and pictures, and includes a section on body repair, which was not included in earlier editions of the book (although you will find some of the terms dated and of little use as far as body repair). All the sections include the part name, numbers, torque specifications, and other tips to make any repair job easier. Most jobs described in the book are done using regular mechanics tools and in cases where a special tool is required, they list the tool's stock number so it can be easily found at a parts store.

I recommend getting both Haynes and Chilton's Manuals because its possible one manual may *miss* something that turns out to be important to the job at hand.
