Overall: A+
The only thing I wish this book would have, that it DOESN'T, is color photos. Everything else, the info, numbers, photos, and the fact that it is VERY up to date, to include 05+ Mustangs, is SPOT ON. Couldn't be better. I would definately reccommend this to ANYBODY wanting to learn how to build higher performance OHV 5.0, and Modular 4.6 and 5.4 Ford Small...

not a shop manual
If you're looking for a manual that gives you build specifications, torque limits, fits and clearances...this is not the book you want. It gives you a very high level overview of the different Ford engines and talks in general how a couple custom engine builders assemble engines. Worth about 50-cents.

This book offers the reader real hands-on information that works
for the Ford Windsor and modular engine families. The reader can get a fairly good idea of what it takes boost performance, and a ball-park idea of costs and suppliers.
