Metal Ranger Tailgate Handle,

Fantastic service. Part here in 2 days. But... 2 Problems1- Part does not fit correctly. The handle arm stop clashes with the twin bell cranks on the latch release. 2- The handle or cover is smaller that OEM and does not cover attachment completely. For "1" I installed a shim ( 0.080-0.100) between the bell cranks and the tail gate to position them further from the handle goose neck arms. For "2" I will just live with it. I'm sure I will forget about it eventually. It was disappointing. I expected a 5-min swap, but it took over an hour to "fix" the installation. I still would buy the part. Even with the fact that it took modifications to install, I wanted the METAL handle over another plastic one. |
