bought a car that only had one computer chip key. This is a good buy for the price and it worked great once we tool it and got it cut.Had to take it to a locksmith so they could program it since we only had 1 key.If you have 2 you don't have to have a third one progamed you can do it your self.Still less than $30.00 verses $200.00 from the dealer is a lot better deal.

This product was gonna cost me a fortune at the dealership but I got it here with DYI in struction resonable shipping and front door service. I took my new key to the ford dealership and they cut it for me for FREE. Took no more than 10 sec to program. I mean who could ask for anything more. I reccomend this to any and every one.

Ordered 2 keys from Discount Keyless, received them very quickly. They have a plastic feel instead of a rubber feel to them like the original keys that came with the car. I dropped one of the keys while looking at it right after I received it and a small piece of plastic slightly dislodged from the base of the key. I just pushed it back in. Must be some kind of an access plug for the transponder to be installed. Had the keys cut at a local hardware store and went home to program them. WARNING! you must have at least two original keys to program any subsequent keys. Followed the directions provided with the keys and got them programmed on the second try. very easy to do. 4 stars and not 5 for the plastic feel and the small plastic plug that dislodged upon being dropped.

I went to dealer and they said that they don't make keys for my car anymore and i have to go to locksmith to buy key for my 2001 Taurus, usually dealer charge $100+ for key anyway so i called random locksmith in my area that i found using google maps. Quotes was from $80 to $100+ for a one key i think. So i just went on amazon and bought this key for less than $20 bucks.

I have it cut for me in home depot for ~$2 (you just have to ask nicely) as they sell regular key without chip that same shape. i'd recommend buying one regular flat key for $2 in addition and carry it in your wallet in case you lock yourself out it will at least open the car or trunk. (One more use of that flat key would be whenever you want to listen to stereo outside of your car, say if you work in garage and want to leave your car open to listen to stereo. Its safe because key without chip wont start car.)

Anyway his is very good deal if you have original key to your car as well as one duplicate key then you can just cut it cheap in home depot and program in your car for free, was not my case though, i only had one key and not sure if it was original or duplicate.

So i got two of this key's first one i got about year ago and it took me a year to find out that you cannot program this key in home depot or pepboys as they carry same machine with same brand of keys that will only program their own keys!

So i called Discount Keyless and that's what they explained to me, so i found random locksmith that would program that two keys for $60. Very good deal in my opinion i paid total of $100 extra working keys, not sure if i can now program keys in my car, but i really don;t need any more than 3.

This key needs to go to a locksmith to be cut because of the chip inside. Great key, works like a charm. I recommend it to anyone.

I bought this product ( times two) with three remote keys fobs from through Amazon. It cost less than one key from the dealer. They were easy to program (less than five minutes). Works as well as the originals did when I bought the car ten years ago. These were a fantastic purchase.

The 2 keys I bought for $20 did exactly as advertised. I brought the keys to a local locksmith who cut both keys and programmed one of them for $50. Since I already had one good/programmed key, I used my key and the newly programmed key (you need 2 "originally" programmed keys) to program the 3rd key for free (I just used the instructions that came with the keys). Everything worked great. I now have 3 keys. Overall it cost me $70 to make 2 new keys. Several years ago I had the dealer make a key for me and it cost over $200, so I'm estimating this saved me somewhere between $150 (1 key) to $330 (2 keys). I definitely recommend this process versus going through the dealer for a new key.

The keys work for my vehicle and were easy to program. However, trying to program 2 keys back to back set off the anti theft system, which meant we were locked out of the vehicle completely for 4 minutes (with even the original keys!)- until the system reset. Be aware that if you do more than 1 key, you need to be careful of your timing- or wait out the reset. Not as happy with the seller as a whole because it took 2 full weeks to arrive, but that's a different review area. Edited to add that there were no DIY programming instructions included though they claim there will be. Instructions are easy to find on the internet however.
