What happened to CHILTON,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ford: Thunderbird/Cougar 1983-96 (Chilton's Total Car Care Series) (Paperback)
I must say that of all the books that I've read from Chilton, this has got to be a serious joke. Those of us who buy these books buy them so we can learn the material. The way this one was written, it seems almost as if you wrote it for people who already know these things. I'm very disappointed in this book and hope that a revised edition will be published. Please make Chilton #1 once again. Sincerly, Jeff Wynberg, concerned, loyal customer.

i think this was a good book because it described everything in great detail and had very good pictures making it easy to understand. But the best part was the color which is hard to find in repair manuals at this cost.

I've been a wrench head for over 35 Years. I've used lot's of Chilton Manuals and books. This is by far the worst I've ever seen. I bought it to help with the restoration of an '86 Lincoln Mark VII LSC. It had virtually no information on the shift cable R&R. It has limited information on interior parts and the diagrams are so small I need a magnifying glass to see them. I would never have bought it if I had known what it lacks. Maybe that's why they seal them in plastic bags on the shelf now ????
