Over the years, their rivalry grew and soon other Ford and Chevy owners started to join in the fun. Out of this rivalry, the Westington Cup was born. And so we come to today ¿ the Westington Cup tournament is about to begin. As a driver for either the Ford or the Chevy team, it's time to defend your pride as you battle in a variety of different races, missions and vehicles. The premise looked great; Ford Versus Chevy, and after playing the last game by this company: 'Ford Mustang Racing' which I really enjoyed, I bought this.

What a big dissapointment, although the graphics are really quite good, the cars handling and the race competition strength of the ai is very very poor indeed.
Basically you can win every race first attempt providing you don't smash into anything on the odd occasion because you don't know the track, the ai offer nothing in the way of competitiveness whatsoever, and the driving experience is very dull indeed, there is no feeling that you are driving a car, and I know it's only an arcade racer, but even so it fails to manage even that, you basically point and accelerate, you pass some nice graphical scenery admittedly and then you cross the finish line first. You can finish the game within 2-3 hours easily, and because the ai doesn't test you, and there are no ai difficulty levels to set, it isn't worth playing again.

I loved Ford Mustang on the Xbox, but they have really slacked off with this title, I suggest you try Empire's 'Ford Street Racing' for an example of a really good Ford racing game.

Well, I actually BOUGHT a playstation 2 as a result of buying this game and liking it so much(and not owning a system). You can race any cars in an arcade mode or buy your way into cars and making them faster as you go along. It has VERY realistic sound effects and even the fluctuation of blower whine on the cobalt SS and monte SS. You start off on muscle cars and after getting gold stars on all the courses(which range from race courses to picking up tires or stopping into 5 mechanic shops in record time to qualify) and then move onto trucks. Cars are everything from Chevy:2000 impala SS, late model monte carlo SS(supercharged), a cobalt SS supercharged, a 1998-2002 body SS camaro, a 67 camaro,57 chevy, a 60's chevyII (nova), and a ZO6 vette. FORDS=2005 mustang GT, red ford gran torino(like starsky and hutch), focus WITH 5.0 V8 conversion!!! insane fast!, 69 mach 1 mustang, 99 cobra mustang SVT, 57 t-bird and even the new 2004 t-bird, and legendary Ford GT. The trucks also have concept vehicles such as the concept Bronco and some other dirt racer. Expedition,32 Ford highboy roadster f-150 supercab but way fast, Z71 chevy truck and colorado 4x4, and I'm not sure about the rest because I haven't beat the game yet. Truck events are wild like smashing into billboards that have been grafitti-ed without hitting the good billboards. GET THIS PEOPLE- you actually can buy NAMEBRAND authentic parts, such as edelbrock shortie headers or hooker long tubes, holley systemax heads and cam package, Weiand or Holley roots superchargers, borla, hooker or edelbrock mufflers/catbacks, mickey thompson, nitto, and goodyear tires, even Lunati Voodoo camshafts! Hayes, centerforce, and Zooom clutches; Eibach, Koni, and Ford Racing for suspension and even Brembo brakes! It is like having a race catalog built into the game. All cars handle different and are rated by stars on 0-60, handling, and top speed. Oh, and get this- for doing crazy stuff like powersliding around corners and going up on two wheels sideways- you get nitrous boost automatically(no charge). Very fun game, especially if you like a variety- cars, trucks, old or new, compact or musclecar- I can't speak highly enough of this game.

I ordered this game for my kids but my husband and I had a blast too! When we race against each other, we end up laugh so hard sometimes we have to pause the game. There's also the option of solo play where you play on a team.
All in all I am very pleased with the game. All my kids love it. My 5 year old plays with ease yet it is challenging enough for all.
