Product Description

The Shakespeare women were what the locals of Greenwich Village called "gifted." Sure, Rowie's predictions were helpful for forecasting the weather or finding someone's lost grandkid. But when it came to love, her abilities were more like a curse. Why bother dating a guy if you knew at the first kiss he was destined for some blonde from New Jersey? Nope, Rowie was much happier bringing together the people she knew were a perfect match. Until the day she kissed the man whose future she couldn't foresee...

5.0 out of 5 stars Forecast: quirky & mystic romantic comedy, November 1, 2007
By
Dot Storm (Sacramento, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Forecast (Mass Market Paperback)
I enjoy reading good romantic comedy, but its not often that I encounter a book in this genre where I think, as soon as I've finished it, "I've got to read this again"! I loved Jane Tara's book. She really knows her stuff about psychic and mystic phenomena. Together with the fact that she has an awesome talent for comedic writing, this book is more than an enjoyable read: it stays with you.
Following Rowie Shakespeare's quirky life and her romantic (& psychic) trials and tribulations is all the more enjoyable because of the well-developed crew of support characters.
Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Jealousy talking, February 22, 2008
This review is from: Forecast (Mass Market Paperback)
Not in the habit of reading "romance" novels, but this one is full of charm, wit, and magic. Found myself (as a male) wishing for a chance to meet Miss Shakespeare(and you can't ask for more than that from a novel).
Can't say I would read it again (another thing I don't make a habit of), but I can say that the women in this novel have stayed with me. If I had a criticism, it would be that I don't think that any of the men are worthy (or in the same league) as Miss Shakespeare or the other women in the novel, but that might just be jealousy talking.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great read and ride!, November 7, 2007
This review is from: Forecast (Mass Market Paperback)
Jane Tara's book "Forecast" should be forecasted as a best seller. What a fun read and the characters were so well written that I identified with more than one and couldn't put the book down. Lots of love, lust, learning and metaphysics presented through the eyes of both believer and doubter... I'll let you read it to see which side wins out.

Tara's wit woven througout her writing puts a twinkle in the eye of many characters, I may steal a few one-liners and use them on my pals!

Truly a joy to read, and re-read!

Looking forward to her next one!
