Editorial Reviews

From the Inside Flap

This book first written in 1978 has become an inventory management classic. The first book was written based on Bernie Smith's experience at American Hardware Supply...now a $4 billion distribution giant combining the resources of True Value and ServiStar.

Bernie revised this book based on his consulting work in over 400 companies worldwide. The new revised book is a must read for any manager charged with the inventory management goals of customer service and inventory turnover. It includes detailed descriptions of the newest Focus Forecasting(r) formulas along with new concepts of safety time, replenishment time, and stock/nonstock decision making. It provides practical insights into supply chain management procedures.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good info and tips, May 7, 2007

This review is from: Focus Forecasting Computer Techniques for Inventory Control Revised for the Twenty-First Century (Hardcover)
This book is much more an advertising of the commercial system (focus forecasting) and a self-promotion of his author. But it really brings a lot of good tips and info.
