  • Identifying opportunities and understanding risks
  • Obtaining information, tools, support, and resources
  • Locating properties prior to foreclosure
  • Assisting homeowners through the foreclosure process
  • Acquiring properties below market value prior to the auction
  • Buying property at an auction, from lending institutions, and government agencies
  • Repairing, renovating, and selling or leasing property

This book provides tips and strategies for refinancing your property and maximizing your profits. 4.0 out of 5 stars Concise, clear approach, June 5, 2008
This review is from: Foreclosure Investing For Dummies (Paperback)
Par for Dummies series -- very informative, useful, clear and easy to read. Lays out upside potential as well as downside risks. As an adjunct, I've been using a beta service at realquest dot com which lets me search for pre-foreclosure, foreclosured and bank-owned homes in my local area. Perfect combo.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good read for buying a home (discounted), April 17, 2009
This review is from: Foreclosure Investing For Dummies (Paperback)
I'm a first time home buyer and I really got interested into foreclosures and tax deeds. Right now there's just a lot out there that's for sale retail price but there's a lot more that's actually discounted through foreclosures. If I can buy the same quality for less price, why not right? This book helped me sort through a lot of the terminologies and helped me understand what to look out for. Very quick and easy read and recommended along with other foreclosure books I found helpful.
