This is one of my favorite CD's! Most of the songs are great! Bleach, Kevin Max (dc Talk), Michael Tait (dc Talk), were all great. It was very touching. My favorites were- Birthday Kevin Max; Uphill Battle Michael Tait, Pete Stuward

This CD is great! I looove all the songs and most of all, I love the fact that they sing and praise the Lord! Suteki!

This is my favorite and most played compilation of songs! ForeFront Records is now 12 years old, and this CD was released in 1998, and has current hits (1998), such as Uphill Battle, Birthday, Heavenbound (by bleach), and more. Also contains (on 2nd CD) songs from the past, such as Jesus Freak, Walls, Jesus Is Just Alright, God, and more. There are 27 songs, on 2 CDS. I Believe that this is suitable for EVERYONE!

Great retrospective of one of the best Christian publishing companies. Both CDs were well done. In my humble(?) opinion I think the "Then" CD was the better of the two, as there were really no tracks I disliked on it. The Enhanced portion of the "Now" CD was really good as well.

Here are some pros of the Now CD: 1) Seven Day Jesus did a GREAT cover of "Big House", as did Grammatrain with "God" (I am so amazed!!)

2)"Uphill Battle" with Michael Tait (dc Talk) and Pete Stewart (Grammatrain WHY DID YOU BREAK UP YOU WERE AWESOME!!) was impressive, truly amazing.

3)Good songs with Great messages: Rebecca St. James "Mirror", The Normals "Everything", and Geoff Moore & The Distance "Second Birthday"

4)I can really relate to Eli's "I'm Accepted"

Cons:

1) Yes it's a "Birthday" album, but the "phone calls" were absolutely CHEESY!! (Break out the chips Ethel, we's gonna make some nachos). K-Max's "Birthday" song was OK but almost unnecessary...

2)I really don't care for Considering Lily's music anyway, but that's only my opinion.

3)Raze's "That's the Way", while good, was a bit repetitive.

and finally 4)I commend Bleach for their effort to cover DCT's "Heavenbound" (did a couple doubletakes when I first saw the album), and it was OK, but stick with rock, you really do a better job there.

this CD has all of the great Forefront groups! you should do this for every bday!! YOU ROCK! =]

Wow! Great CD! Any DC Talk fans- its a must! I really enjoyed this CD because it has all my favorite hits from my favorite artists combined into one! I have to disagree with one of the other reviewers- Kevins Birthday Song is a hit!

Great variety. The best song is the Grammatrain cover of Rebecca St. James song "God". I bet nobody can listen to the St. James song and picture it as such a rough song as the Grammatrain cover. Plus, it has some of the weirdest guitar noises I've heard in a while.
