This review is for the 2010 remaster by MOFI.

Nothing wrong with this hybrid SACD from Mobile Fidelity. The remastering is great, just like with almost any other release from MOFI.
Don't let anyone tell you this disc sounds bad!

This is a limited numbered edition that will be available only for a short period of time.

I purchased a number of CD remasterings of this album, but the SACD from Mobile Fidelity is vastly superior. The Double Vision in SACD is also excellent. I'm looking forward to future SACD releases, for Foreigner, and other artists.

This SACD is a revelation, mainly due to increased clarity, delineation of voices and instruments, and very "analog" type sound. It's just so enjoyable to listen to, much like the LP on a top flight turntable, but more dynamic and with no ticks or pops.

Really looking forward to Foreigner 4 SACD! That is the big one to me.

I have been a fan of Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Original Master Recordings since I started buying music. My sister made me aware of them in my much younger days when she purchased a copy of The Beatles "Revolver" on vinyl. The quality of the recording was amazing. I became very interested in the process in producing these recordings so I looked them up and got a good understanding of the "hows and whys" of doing what they do. This album was an instant favorite for me and I was not aware it had been put through this process so I purchased it unheard due to the fact that all of the material I had purchased in the past from Mobile Fidelity Labs was worth every dime and this cd is no exception. I have bought copy after copy of this album as it was remastered each one just a little better than the last but this version is the best of them all. I purchase in this format only the albums that are what I consider the best of the best because of the detail I can hear right down to the fingers rubbing across the strings on the fret board of a well built guitar. This is as good as it gets to being present in a live setting.
Having said that, this is certainly some of the finest work coming from not only the artist but, Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs as well. Thanks for another great work.

Killer MFSL re-issue. Best sound ever on this album.

For the first time this album on CD, or in this case SACD, exceeds the vinyl. I do not like new re-masterings in general but this one is totally KILLER.

My feeling is the negative review here [from "Mr. Brown"] is from a member of an anti-MFSL internet forum of which I will not bother to mention it's name.

I bought this CD from the MOFI site.
When I first played this CD I was very disappointed in the poor sound quality. My first thought was the original tapes may have sounded this bad because this is from the original master tapes but, after buying and listening to the remastered "Foreigner" I then realized how poor the MOFI release truly was.

I have many MOFI Gold CDs and they are all "the best" when it comes to sound quality.

(For the first time) I can not recommend a MOFI release. I hope this is the only one.
