5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, especially for the student, October 1, 2000
This review is from: Forensic Anthropology: The Structure, Morphology, and Variation of Human Bone and Dentition (Hardcover)
I love this book, I refur to it frequently in my studies. The text is dated, however, and the bones are drawings ( it does include black and white photos of pathologies and deformations), but this book contains information on most of the techniques used during lab analysis of the human skeleton. This book starts with the parts of the skeleton and how to exume remains and the proper set up of the lab. It goes on to tell you about reconstructing the skeleton for identification, how to age, sex and determine stature. It includes non metric traits, pathologies and malfrmations. The book has less than 200 pages making this a good hand book and easy to use for reference. I highly recommend this book to students of ostaeology and the field archaeologist as well.
