5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing and Interesting Read, February 13, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Forensic Geology (Hardcover)
This book is ideal for anyone interested in or studying this topic. Everything is explained well and easy to follow, with interesting cases to demonstrate the use of geology in forensics. Near enough every area of forensic geology is covered, and there's a handy glossary at the back in case you get stuck on any of the more technical language. I couldn't have got through my university dissertation without it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Forensic geology, January 16, 2007
This review is from: Forensic Geology (Hardcover)
As probably the first textbook in this field it served a useful purpose. However, apart from the authors' extensive treatment of California cases (which is understandable) the geological material is grossly simplified. Much of the material is long out of date, such as to possible follow-ups to the Kiki Camerena case. In other cases, the reader is left wondering what happened. Sealed decisions and incomplete follow-throughs compound this problem. Surely the decimal point in the price slipped a digit to the right?
