The Newcastle-based trio have been keeping the North of England's clubbers moving for over a decade with their close involvement with the legendary Shindig club night, DJing the world over and releasing tracks for a multitude of labels including Satoshi Tomiie's SAW Recordings, Hooj, Yoshitoshi and (of course) Forensic plus remixes of Depeche Modes "Only When I Lose Myself", Dave Gahans "Dirty Sticky Floors" and more recently Seals "Killer".
Forensic Science is not only a showcase of the Lexicons talent arsenal both as DJs and producers, it also amply illustrates the quality of material that has been released on the Northeast of Englands finest house label.
From the splendid More Filter Mix of the C&M Productions classic True House, Little Green Mens These Are The Beats and Echomens Spirit, theres also the unreleased versions of Satoshi Tomiies mix of Little Green Mens "Need" and Equator Fever by The Dominican, as well as the classic Sander Kleinenberg interpretation of Lexicons "From Dusk Till Dawn".

Steady formula,

Its a pretty good cd. I bought this after listening to Nite Life 12. Yes its definitely a good dance cd but for me it lacked a bit of character. Good mixing, good selection of tracks but did not leave me passionate with its content. Give me Deep Dish any day...

Lexicon Avenue's earlier release, Nite Life, left mewanting more, and for the most part, Forensic Science delivers. The seductively dark, pump-house groove is disrupted only once, by the out-of-place track #4, "Hear What Was Said" (honestly, what were Lexicon Avenue thinking on that one?). The remaining 12 tracks are splendid, just splendid.

A compilation OF Lexicon Avenue mixed BY Lexicon Avenue... I couldn't ask for anything more... Scott Bradford lays down some wicked tribal-tech grooves on this Forensic Records "best of."
