Forest Piano is a very gentle album from the Solitudes company--that plays through rather quickly for a 50 minutes. Featuring the sounds of tiny brooks and birds such as robins, northern orioles, rose-breasted grosebeak and pileated woodpecker. The chattering of the red squirrels is light...and the glumping of the tree frogs a nice lullaby.

I recommend this album to anyone seeking a NICE solitude in the middle of a hectic day or in the middle of the night. Those of you who live in northern and colder climes will find this to be very healing...you feel like you're in a dream. The very names of the tracks give you a clear idea of where you are...and you get to make up what flowers you see growing under the Ancient Stand...or what shapes you see while Chasing the Clouds. Dreaming By the Old Stream you would really think that you're feet are in a nice pool of cool water with birds singing 'round you. Enjoy!!

I purchased this CD several years ago & I loved it so much that I leant it to my sister - well, I just got it back, & I've fallen in love with it all over again!

This is that special type of music that has the ability to bring up various emotions within - I guess I'd have to say that it has the ability to touch the soul.

If you like the sound of the piano, and enjoy the sounds of nature, then you can't go wrong with this CD - it has all of this beautifully wrapped up into one. This is an excellent CD to listen to after a hard day - you can just feel the stress melt away as you connect with the sounds of nature & the piano. I can't recommend this CD highly enough!

I bought this at Linens and Things only because I heard it playing. Sometimes in those types of stores they have cheesy sounding New Age Music but when I heard this I knew it was different. It's no George Winston, but the piano's very clear and clean and it's beautifully relaxing; the natural sound effects are wonderful. I would definitely recommend this.

From my memories of the sounds I heard, whether Im hiking or on a walk in the woods, the sounds are exactly that of Forest Piano. From birds to the sounds of moving water in a nearby stream, this CD captures it all perfectly. The musical accompaniment sounds exactly the way your mood would be when you're along a stream, or walking through the woods, or even running on the hills without a care in the world. Listening on a cloudy, dark, day will lift your spirit. Forest Piano is a fine addition to the Solitudes collection.

This is a wonderful CD I use it almost everyday in my quiet time with God. It is the most relaxing music. I love listening to the birds sing in the backgound. I had it playing one time with others and they insisted they heard birds outside. They barely belived me that it was a CD.

My parents gave me this CD several years ago--it was playing in a garden store they were in, and as I play the piano, and love to be outdoors, they picked it up for me. I admit, it was nice to relax to, but was just one of the many relaxing CDs I owned.

Then our baby daughter came along, and it has become THE "now it's time to lay down and sleep" CD. In fact one time I went to put another soothing CD in, (although I'm a big fan, I needed a little change from every nap & nighttime-put-to-bed for 5 months), and my husband said, "No! She goes to sleep to the Forest/Bird/Piano one! Nothing else will be played." So, I hope our copy, which was already well loved, lasts awhile longer...

You will not be disappointed with this CD.

The first time I heard this CD was many years ago while having a massage at a resort. The music and sound effects were so soothing, I was transported in time and place. I had to ask the masseuse for the name of it. Since then, I have been playing it almost every day to relax and to get inspired. It's finally become scratched, after a decade, and I am buying it again... and recommending it whole-heartedly!

I enjoy play these kind of music at piano.It relax the entire body and the soul.It is a kinestezic music..buy it---and you will discover the ancient secrets of the music.I love the melody A path to solitude(i will adore these song all my life.These song is me-----searching my mission in my life...

As a birdwatcher and woodland hiker this cd captures a lot of that mood.It is very nice and quiet and relaxing, but, I ran across a problem with the cd, on first play the track 8 did not play,I replayed track 7, and then track 8 played after 7 was finished, as it should, thus the reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5.

Fabulous...absolutely fabulous classical piano with amazing birds singing in the background. I play this for my birds and they sing along too.
