5.0 out of 5 stars That's my girl!!!!!!, April 2, 2008
I bought these stories seperately and thoroughly enjoyed them both. I love the perfect hero characters of this author and I adore the way she writes about Navy Seals. The soft sex is perfectly done. She writes the best dialogue you will every read. You'll say to yourself "where does she come up with these conversations". I buy this author's work as fast as she can write them.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT and ADDICTIVE NAVY SEALs ROMANCES GET A 2-IN-1 REISSUE, November 8, 2010
By
Buggy "SUNNIE Day reader" (British Columbia, Canada) - See all my reviews
This contains the first two instalments from Suzanne Brockmann's Tall Dark and Dangerous series which is in the process of being re-released as 2-in-1's with sexy new covers. These well written, quickie romances are totally addictive, with delicious alpha male heroes and just the right amount of action, suspense and melodrama to keep you coming back for more. Each of these can be read as stand-alones but are much more fun when read in order due to the continuing and evolving story arcs.

Brockmann uses proper military lingo throughout, giving us larger than life Navy SEAL heroes, capable of anything it seems except falling in love easily. Each story is also just different enough that it feels fresh and unique while still connecting the series as a whole. The love scenes are soft (requiring just slightly more imagination and without the dirty words) and her amazing dialogue will draw you in, making the whole falling in love within days seem plausible. This is a fun, sexy, exciting series and I dare you not to fall for any member of SEAL team tens alpha squad.

First up is PRINCE JOE, my favourite of the 2 stories which introduces us to the Team and its Lieutenant Joe Catalanotto. In a twist of fate Joe is the exact look-alike for a Crown Prince so when an assassination attempt is made on the Prince's life Joe is sent in to impersonate him for the remainder of his US tour. Media consultant Veronica St John is given the seemingly impossible task of transforming this rugged and stubborn sailor into royalty, teaching him proper etiquette, protocol and the unique accent and mannerisms of the prince. At fist Joe frustrates `Ronnie' because he doesn't appear to be taking his job seriously but she soon realises that Joe is much more then he appears. Willing to take a bullet for a man he doesn't know and even shed a tear. Before long the "L" word is floating around with Joe feeling that he's not good enough for her because of his blue collar background and Ronnie trying not to fall for a man that risks his life on a daily basis and enjoys it. Lots of angst here folks.

In FOREVER BLUE Carter "Blue" McCoy returns to his hometown to attend his stepbrothers wedding, it's a little awkward because he's marrying Blue's former high school sweetheart. However that soon becomes the least of his problems as that night Blue and Gerry get into a very public heated argument and by morning his stepbrother is dead. Of course Blue is the primary suspect and with the entire town already seeing him convicted its up to rookie police officer Lucy Tait to clear his name. She's had a case of hero worship for Blue ever since he rescued her from some bullies when she was 15. Watching his career in the Navy and the SEALS she knows that he's not a killer but what she doesn't know is that he's not the hero she thinks he is either. Palpable sexual tension, blush worthy police pat downs, car chases and gunplay make this another great story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tall, Dark and Dangerous, September 15, 2011

While these two stories are somewhat less believable than some of the others and are less "military", the characters remain fascinating. The story lines are unique with a wide cast of characters. Not my favorite of among her series, but truly enjoyable, nonetheless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice love story, May 27, 2011

This review is from: Forever Blue (Tall, Dark and Dangerous) (Kindle Edition)
"Navy SEAL Blue McCoy returns home to attend his stepbrother's wedding...he's marrying Blue's high school sweetheart. Blue meets Lucy Tait soon after he arrives and, unbeknownst to him, she's had a crush on him since she was 15. She agrees to attend the wedding with him, which signals the start of something new for both of them. Blue gets embroiled in trouble and relies on policewoman Lucy to help him out of a very tough situation.

You find yourself liking Lucy from the very start and root for her in this story. There are no extraordinary events bringing these two together, which was a good thing. Blue and Lucy were able to get to know one another and develop a relationship with relatively little interference from outside forces. When Blue does find himself in serious trouble with the law, this still was not a major catalyst in how their relationship progressed and allowed you to focus on normal romance dynamics.

The crime Blue was suspected of climaxed near the end of the story and was relatively interesting but I wasn't surprised when the real perpetrator was revealed. It seemed this subplot's purpose was solely to augment the development of Blue and Lucy's relationship and it served that purpose.

It's a pleasing story and it was worth reading. I think it's more 3.5 stars but I'd be doing it a disservice to rate it a 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing romantic story, April 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was my first book from brockmann and I have since read all her Navy seals book. Prince Joe being my all time favorite. The story between Joe & veronica was great. I loved everything about Joe. I really felt all his emotions for Veronica even when he misunderstood her feelings. The whole story with the Navy seals, action & adventure and of course romance and hot sex was all wrapped up great in this story. I love this series and would recommend this book to anyone.

The 2nd story about Blue was pretty good as well. Not as good as Prince Joe but still good. More catch the bad guy, try to figure out who done it kinda story. The romance was still hot and I love how the men on the navy seal team all help each other.

You can never go wrong with Navy Seals

Had read later books about the Navy Seals team. It was still worthwhile to go back to her first books in this series.
