If you are a VNV Nation fan - this is a must have! Ronan's singing is classic VNV style and the lyrics are wonderful too. The remixes are pulsating and mezmorizing...

Every once in a while you find yourself looking back on your record collection and dusting off those rare jewels. "Forever" hasn't had the chance to be dusted off, it has never left my "constant" collection. "Supergroups" are always very tricky, shady even, but not Bruderschaft...it truly delivers. The combination of Harris, Groth, Montelius, Komor and Arkana proves to be a match made in ebm/synthpop heaven. At this point, "Forever" is a club anthem that never seizes to amaze fans. One of the most beautifully written lyrics in the genre combined with one of the most passionate vocalists of the genre. As an added bonus, an album filled with mind-blowing remixes that really show the diversity and creativity of the remixers. You won't be dissapointed.

Just as the Amazon notes suggest, Bruderschaft (german for "Brotherhood") is an underground supergroup featuring Ronan Harris from VNV Nation on lead vocals, Stephan Groth of Apoptygma Berzerk on backing vocals, and members of Icon of Coil and Covenant doing the music. The most important member however is the lesser known Rexx Arkana, NY DJ/promoter, who wrote the lyrics and dedicated the project to his father who had died of cancer at the young age of 57. Ronan Harris' empassioned vocals are a perfect fit for the poignant, painful lyrics. The music is turbocharged but never overwhelms the more important elements of meaning, beauty and sadness. "I will walk this ground forever - and stand guard against your name - I will give all I can offer - I will shoulder all the blame - I am sentry to you now - all your hopes and all your dreams - I will hold you to the light - that's what Forever means!"

This is the type of transcendent song that shows the rare ability to craft regal, elegant electronic music that goes so far beyond what mainstream listeners will likely ever know - most Americans could never imagine that this is what industrial is really about. The result is a majestic single with a dozen dazzling remixes by numerous artists. A portion of the proceeds are donated to cancer research. Well worth owning.
