5.0 out of 5 stars Spragues.... GOOOOOOOOD!
The Sprague Brothers are a rare and precious rock and roll commodity and this new album is even better than their first. Pure, simple and timeless. Don't trust anybody who doesn't dig 'em and turn any such drongos into the authorities forthwith.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good job boy's but get a band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed the first cd Let the chicks fall,And I have seen the boys live with Bass and another picker.I found out that the boys made this ala john fogerty playing every lick on their own. This is where great songs and really neet arangements turn into weak demo sounding cuts. Do not get me wrong I love these fellas but please get a outside producer like ...Nick...

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!!!!, April 30, 2001

What a pleasure to listen to a real rock n' roll album. These 2 guys accomplish more in a two-and-a-half minute song than most bands can on an entire album. Blistering guitar solos, rock solid drumming, and great vocals to boot. And they can write! These are some of the catchiest tunes I've ever heard. If you have any interest at all in The Ventures, Duane Eddy, Jan & Dean, even the early Beatles, you'll be playing this very fine album for a long time. Truly a breath of fresh air.

I am really enjoying this album, and tho I thought not possible, I think it's actually better than the first Sprague Brothers CD! It has a perm place in my CD changer, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who loves rock 'n roll. Also, I recently got the chance to catch them live - truely remarkable performance, get out and see them if you can - you'll have a BLAST!

This is the BEST Sprague Bros yet! The CD is jammed packed with all new songs that really ROCK! I kove this album! I just can't keep it out of my CD player - every one of my friends not only loved it when they heard my copy, they are ALL ordering copies as well! BUY THIS ONE - YOU WON'T REGRET IT! While all the songs are good (amazing considering that there are 18, well actually 19, tracks) - BUT some of these are destined to be CLASSICS! These guys are the best!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock'in Robin, November 20, 2000
By A Customer

I just love these guys. As good as their first album is, I think this one is even better. There's more of a variety to the songlist, but the sound is that of the unmistakable Sprague Brothers. It really swings and rocks, and I can't get "Forever and a Day" out of my head :-) I can't wait for their next release, but I don't see how they possibly out do this one. Buy it, but it now, if you rock - you will love this

This album actually makes me smile! The Spragues pull this off without an iota of irony. This stuff sounds real, like the great lost Everlys/Beatles/Standells/Whomever album. Even when I'm not listening to this CD, the tunes are constantly running through my head. I haven't had so much fun with a record since Marshall Crenshaw's first nearly twenty years ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars better than their first LP, October 18, 2004
This review is from: Forever and a Day (Audio CD)
I passed on buying this record when it came out mainly because I was naive back then and I trusted some a negative review I read about the production of the album. Was I ever stupid! This 2nd Hightone album is FAR superior to their first! I think that the idiot who wrote that these boys should "get a producer" had a hidden agenda. If you compare the sound, quality, and production of the 2 Hightone Sprague Bros CD's you'll find that this one beats the first one hands down! I love every song on this album, and I can't stop playing it! Don't be fooled by jealous fools who try to discourage people from purchasing by writing fake reviews. I wish I had bought this LP a couple of years ago.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Start but........................................, April 12, 2001
This review is from: Forever and a Day (Audio CD)
After the release of Let The Chicks Fall I waited for the next offering from these brothers who will not let West Texas Rock and Roll die. On my weekly raido show I let my listeners know the boys will be back.Frank and Chris ya let me down... Right in the middle of a great rock a billy romp ya hear some Gawd awful steel playing then its like the beatles meet Gary S Paxton. Hopefully threes a charm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
