5.0 out of 5 stars This is American Metal????, April 24, 2004
This review is from: Forever Endeavor (Audio CD)
Enforsaken have that satisfyingly technical, brutal yet melodic sound that you normally expect from Scandinavian bands. But they are from the US - a fact that pleases me beyond words. It's about time that American metal caught up with the European masters. If you are a fan of In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, Soilwork, et al, you NEED this album. The musicianship and songwriting are top notch and the vocals are some of the best in the genre - angry, ballsy, and passionate. The best part - they are understandable while remaining unmistakenly deathmetal. You won't find unintelligable "cookie monster" vomit-growl here. Instead you will find the perfect balance of vocal brutality, tempo and texture that fits the underlying music perfectly. 5 Stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars new wave of american/swedish melodic deathmetal. lol, September 15, 2004
This review is from: Forever Endeavor (Audio CD)
seriously. just like the guy below me said, and i can't believe there's only one review for these guys, this cd blew me away and by far and away blew away my expectations for this cd, didn't really know much of them, bought this cd on a whim. lucky me. right now this band is standing in the shadows of much bigger bands, such as arch enemy, soilwork, inflames, etc. i love melodic death metal and some of these big name bands should be watching for this band over there shoulders cuz if these guys keep putting awesome cd's out like this they'll the opening act for these guys.. not a bad song on the cd. If you liked this cd I suggest u check out Solar Dawn "Equinoctium" as well as Within Y "Extened Mental Dimesions" two other very very good melodic death metal bands that aren't to well know yet. enjoy.

this stuff is just plain awesome. its made even more amazing by the fact they are a US band. Along with Arsis, these guys are giving the European bands a run for thier money, and in some cases, taking it. Enforsaken throws out some killer riffage with typical, but good, vocals. breakneck drumming is abound also, and the song writing is superb. Arsis and Enforsaken are my favorite bands at the moment, and im sure if you listen to either one of them, you will be impressed

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!, February 1, 2008
This review is from: Forever Endeavor (Audio CD)
What a shame, that this band has called it quits, as they managed to produce some of the most brutal, trash-influenced melodic death metal around today. All the best of the Gothenburg scene, infused with an overtly American sense of groove, makes this an inspiring album. The speed of the album varies from the often blistering pace, marked by blast beats, most commonly seen in black metal, with short breaks in between that, when the band returns to their frantic pace, only adds to the ferocity of each track. This is, quite simply, an overwhelming melodic death effort that will bludgeon you into submission.

5.0 out of 5 stars hailing from gothenburg, IL, June 29, 2005
This review is from: Forever Endeavor (Audio CD)
These guys are from my home state IL which is probably why no melodic death metal fans have heard of them. It is rare to find such talent within the states and these guys fit right in to the gothenburg style. The guitars are incredible along with great melodic death style singing. I recommend a band called Hell Within which are also pretty unknown and from the states.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh Hell Yes!!!...an American Melodic Death Metal Band, May 5, 2005
This review is from: Forever Endeavor (Audio CD)
Keep this short and sweet. These guys are awesome. Just heard the 1st 3 songs tonight from a friend and I was very much impressed. Definitely Melodic/Progressive Death Metal. If your a fan of Dark Tranquility, In Flames, Children of Bodom or any other Scandanavian Melodic Death Metal band, these guys fit right in. So spread the word: ENFORSAKEN
