While this collection features the golden tones of Pavarotti, it does injustice to the music. These are great arias not only because of the combination of the voice and the words, but because of the stunning orchestration that shapes the music. Here Pavarotti is accompanied only by a piano, so if you would like to close your eyes and pretend he is singing to you in your living room, buy this CD! If you treasure the full orcestra behind the voice, however, keep looking.
