Great book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Forever Knight: A Stirring of Dust (Paperback)
One of the best vampire novels I've read. I've read all three FK novels, plus multiple vampire novels, but this one and "Intimations of Mortality" remain my top picks among the vampire stories that I have read. The characters were easy to comprehend and understand, considering the fact that I had never before seen the show, though I had heard of it. I really enjoyed the conception of a vampire with a conscious, but also with a lingering feeling of guilt so strong that he will not allow much to interfere or control his life. Considering the fact that LaCroix is the one who should be in control, Nick is one of those characters you just can't help but feel a little sense of sympathy for, and you also can't help but root for him whenever he's in a crisis. The conception, also, of a mortal, Dr. Natalie Lambert, being the vampire Nick's best friend, that gives you a little bit of a thought of a romance possibly blooming, but you soon figure that it's never gonna happen. The characters were very well-rounded, and I applaud Susan Sizemore for her great and well-done efforts!!! The book is fantastic, and it's a great read for a rainy day, as I found out. Just, whatever you do, don't read "A Stirring of Dust" or "Intimations of Mortality" when there's a rainstorm outside. Trust me on this one. Did I just see a pair of gold eyes outside my bedroom window......?

Really very good!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Forever Knight: A Stirring of Dust (Paperback)
Excellent! I am so glad to see some Forever Knight merchandise out there! And this story was an excellent beginning to what I hope is a long string of novels! The characters were well done, although I would have liked it more if it could have taken place in the first or second season. Capt Reese, Vachon, and Tra-cee were dreadful, but seeing my old friends (Nick n Nat) made up for it, big time.

A fan of Forever Knight will like this book!,

Fans of the TV series 'Forever Knight' should enjoy this book. Susan Sizemore did an excellent job recreating the characters from the show. I also feel she did a wonderful job with the non-major characters, like Vachon. As a fan of 'Forever Knight', I had always wanted to see more of him in the series. I found it quite easy to picture this book as an episode. The story is nicely paced, and at the end, I wanted more

good FK, good story,

The FK characters are accurately captured in this novel; the plot (and Nick's attempts to solve the murders) grab you early on and don't let go; and this novel was like "seeing" a "lost episode" of Forever Knight -- something devoted FK fans will really enjoy.

Forever Knight: Life After (Un)Death!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Forever Knight: A Stirring of Dust (Paperback)
For a fan of the Forever Knight TV series, this book is exactly what the doctor ordered. The novel reads like an extended episode of the show, which is all any serious FK fan could ask for. The characters seemed "in character," and, for the most part, the book continued the "feel" of the TV show. I hope that this book is merely the first in a series of FK-Book/Episodes (which, I hope, will also include forays into the first and second season time periods). A non-FK fan might enjoy this book, but I'd suggest watching tapes to the series to pick up on the show's distinctive moodiness and the relationships among the characters

Susan did a great job. The book was written like one of the episodes. I felt as if I was watching an episode of my favorite show. It was well written, easy to follow along. I would hear the characters speaking there lines as I read and it was believeable. I had a hard time putting the book down. I highly recommend this novel to any reader who is a Forever Knight fan or enjoys a great fiction novel

When I first found this book at Target I was shocked and bought a copy on the spot. I read it in one night. The book was true to the characters and the premise of the show. I will continue to hope for more books along this line and read them with much enthusiasm.

Happy to see Forever Knight in print,

This review is from: Forever Knight: A Stirring of Dust (Paperback)
It broke my heart when Forever Knight ended, but knowing that it would continue via print made it less sad for me. I enjoyed seeing Vachon and Tracy together one more time. I think that the novel stayed true to the characters from the series. The humor, sadness and angst were all there. I hope that this starts a long tradition of FK novels.

This book was really good. I read it in less than a week and wish they had made more than just a few books on the show.
