Fifty-three letters dictated by a loving, inner voice identifying itself as God, describing how we were created as perfect, spiritual energy beings made of Pure Love.

We subsequently created individual egos who set themselves up to explore our individuality without God's help. Now, being a composite of God's loving energy and our own opposing egos, we created the entire physical universe and everything in it, including plants, animals, and our own bodies.

The reason everything physical is finite, limited, and cyclical is that we designed it as beings who are partly divine and partly ego. Our egos are responsible for all the conflict, suffering, and pain in the world.

The letters explain that the only way the world peace we all seek will ever be achieved is through the surrender of our egos, which can only occur through love--by calling forth the Infinite Love of God, which still resides within every one of us.

About the Author

Dr. Hirschfield is a spiritually oriented Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California and currently in private practice in Sherman Oaks. He has had over thirty-five years experience in emotional and spiritual development work and began his career as a psychotherapist in 1975. Prior to that, he spent twenty-five years as an electronics engineer, manager, and consultant in the aerospace industry.

He holds a Ph.D. degree in Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling from California State University at Northridge, a Master of Engineering Management from U.C.L.A., and a B.S. degree from M.I.T. Dr. Hirschfield is the author of numerous articles on spiritual growth and two prior books: My Ego, My Higher Power, And I and The Twelve Steps for Everyone...who really wants them, which has sold over one half million copies, and has been published in Spanish under the title Los Doce Pasos Hacia La Liberacion Espiritual.

Jerry is a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and a professional member of the Association for Transpersonal Psychology. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

This book really helped free me from the guilt and fear that my religious background instilled in me. It's simply written and touched my heart and soul. I wish everyone could read it and BECOME FREE.
