Review

Praise for Forever

“The relationships in this series are intriguing . . . The ancient struggle between two forces gives this story plenty of action and sizzle.”RT Book Reviews

Forever was just as good if not better than Jaquelyn Frank’s first World Of Nightwalkers book, Forbidden . . . I found the romance to be incredibly steamy and left me wishing book three had already been released.”—Night Owl Romance

“Jacquelyn Frank uses a deft hand to weave the layers of this series together. . . . The love affairs have been wildly romantic with some very sensual love scenes . . . A must-read and highly recommended for paranormal fans.”—The Romance Reviews

Forever is the Nightwalker series’ wilder, sexier and more confident cousin. . . . A fantastic read with a scrumptious hero and his lovely lady love.”—Urban Book Thief

“Jacquelyn Frank writes some really good paranormal romance books and this is one of my favorites. . . . The Egyptian history and mythology helps create a vivid world with reincarnated Pharaohs, priests and priestesses, and their gargoyle protectors, adding another dimension that makes everything even more intriguing.”—Paranormal Haven

Praise for Forbidden

Forbidden takes the reader from sad times, to passion, to joy, and throws in the suspense of danger to round things out. . . . If you love ancient Egypt as much as I do . . . then you will not want to miss Forbidden or the rest of the Nightwalkers series.”—Joyfully Reviewed

“Brilliantly creative, Frank enhances and expands her Nightwalker universe by introducing a previously unknown race: the Bodywalkers. Members of this new race form symbiotic relationships with dying individuals, and as both minds remain, they form a unique union. This launch book of her new spin-off series allows Frank to set up the players and the longstanding war that divides them. And as this is a Frank book, readers are guaranteed plenty of action, dynamic characters and sizzling sensuality.”RT Book Reviews

More About the Author

Hi there. It's me! Again. Time to update some more. I am rounding the bend into the double 4's (44 on 2/22/2012) and things are changing so fast in the writing world. I've expanded my online presence to include Facebook and Twitter, a website a blog and every other bleeping thing there is out there in the cyber world. Was finding it hard to manage all that exposure and get work done at the same time, so I now have a full-time assistant, named Natalie. Feel free to contact her for any of your authoring, blogging, promotional requests at natalie@jacquelynfrank.com. She's a good egg and will answer all of your questions, big or small and see to it that I get back to you in a timely manner. I am writing for three different lines (Zebra, Aphrodisia and Ballentine) and under two names (JAX is for my steamier stuff...and yes, it does get steamier!) And I am in over half a dozen languages now! INCUDING a full line of NIGHTWALKERS audio books with the glorious narration of the superb Xe Sands. I'm thrilled with the job she did!

ADAM has just debuted and my fingers are crossed that it will do well. The first hints are that you all LOVE IT and HATE IT and LOVE IT and...well, that's kind of the reaction I was hoping for. ;) Hehehe. What good am I if I can't torment my readers?

I'm still living in Asheville, NC. My kitty family has swelled to *wince* TEN cats. I was fostering and...I found it so hard to trust anyone would give them a better home than me! Is that ego or arrogance or just trust issues?

Email will always be welcomed. I am a tech queen and my laptop has grown roots into my thighs. (And my bottom has grown them into my recliner). I am so thrilled about all of my books and I want to know what everyone thinks of them! I think it would be fascinating to hear what my readers would like to see happen in the Nightwalker world as the series advances. I receive emails at jackifrankwrites@gmail.com these days. Feel free to say hi! Natalie will see to it I get back to you in one way or another. :)

If you haven't tried me, please do. I always recommend starting with JACOB. Or if you don't want to invest in a series, go for DRINK OF ME. It's a stand alone.

Enjoy,
Hugs and Kitties,
Jacquelyn Frank

I like that this book did not have to delve into that as much and went straight to the good stuff.

I loved how strong both Jackson and Marissa were throughout this entire book.

I am a fan of the Nightwalker series, and I liked the first book in this World of Nightwalker series. However the occupations and relationships of the human's in this story require more suspension of belief than the supernatural one's. Marissa is a Doctor. She went to medical school and became a Psychiatrist. That means that she is a extremely intelligent and driven woman. She works for the Police Department, so she is constantly dealing with the human psyche, especially the darker aspects. Jackson is also her patient, and while he is very attractive this loving him from afar thing is ridiculous for two reason's. One, he is her patient. It is completely unethical for them to have a relationship. Having a relationship with him if discovered would result in the loss of her job, and probably her license. Reason number two, he is her patient. She knows exactly how messed up he is. Before he became a Bodywalker this man had some serious issues. He is deeply suffering over the loss of his K-9 partner. Now don't get me wrong, I love animals. Dog's especially, but him not being able to function is not normal. Now I'm no medical professional, but I would think the loss of his dog hit him so hard because he barely has any human relationship's. Jackson has his little sister, and his friend Leo who spends most of the time out of the country. Nothing screams red flag like a single man in his 30's who has no friends. So Jackson should have been firmly placed in Marissa's "no go" zone. In this book his and Marissa's story pick up after he become's a Bodywalker, a.k.a. he is suffering from a severe personality disorder. The conflict that draw's them together wasn't even really real.Read more ›

Two powerful souls now share the body of Jackson Waverly. On the brink of death, Jackson allowed the soul of Egyptian pharaoh Menes to be reborn into his body so that he may lead his Bodywalkers in their fight against evil. Menes wants his queen at his side and believes the fiery Marissa Anderson will be the perfect host and partner to Hatshepsut. The attraction between Jackson and Marissa is undeniably electric but for Menes' mate to join him, Marissa will have to give up everything, including her life.

I liked Jackson in the first book as the protective older brother and I love him even more, in part thanks to Menes' royal attitude, as he steps into the role of leader. An alpha himself, I thought there would be more butting heads between he and Menes for control but it's rare and the understanding and balance they strike between one another works great. Only times things get dicey is where Marissa is concerned. Jackson wants her but doesn't want to take the 'she's ours so take her' way of doing things Menes suggests. Jackson prefers to seduce Marissa and watch her wild side come out as he tears down her carefully crafted walls. Even Jackson's seduction style screams 100% grade A alpha male and I was all the more smitten with him for it. With Menes' touches of ancient class and lethal power to keep him from being just another typical paranormal romance hero, Jackson is hands down my favorite character in this series.

Marissa has created a safe world for herself and as much as her body and heart craves Jackson, her mind stops her from taking that leap of faith into his arms. She has reservations about what Jackson/Menes is telling her and I applaud her for standing her ground. They're not an easy combination to say no to and I respect her for it.

Very disappointed. I can't wait for Ms. Frank's books...they are so good but I couldn't even finish this one. The hero goes on at length about how traumatic it was to become a Bodywalker. The losses and the acceptance of a new identity so difficult but then, it was that or death. However, this arrogant ,manipulative Jackson/Menes thinks it's just fine for his "love" to commit suicide so she too can have fun. Oh, and Menes...he's hot for her so he can have his "true love" and Marissa (the about to be changed human) ...two for one. Good deal.
Marissa is an M.D. who must have been last in her class. She feels her authority and competence are a sham. She's right. She shows no true backbone and not much intelligence. The ban against doctor-patient sex relations is swept away because she's no longer treating Jackson. Does not work that way. It's like saying Mom's not raising me any more...we can date.
And the evil guys...mwahaha, more disgusting than frightening.
I do not usually take time to review books but this is such a travesty...well, just had to.
No, did not like this book. Will avoid the series. So sad.

This book can stand on it's own despite being the second book in the series. It is really well written and gives just enough background so the reader is not lost. I have not read the first book yet and had no problem following the story line and knowing what happened in the previous book.

Having a great interst in ancient Egypt, I loved the premise. Seeing heros such as Ramses, Menes, Hatshepsut, and Cleopatra feeds that childhood love of ancient Egypt.

The characters, even the villians, are well rounded and interesting. At one point, human Leo Alvarez is attacked and the book made me feel very strongly about him as a person.

The love interest between Jackson/Menes and Marissa/Hatshepsut will keep the reader engaged and can stand on its own, however the larger story of the fight betweent he Politicos (good guys) and Templars (bad guys) makes it a better book.
