Format: MP3 Music
After obsessing over Moving Mountain's first release "Pneuma" for almost two years now, I couldn't wait to hear what they were going to put out next. Part of me wondered if they'd be able to craft something as sonically masterful, original, and well, to put it simply, amazing, as their first album. After going over the "Foreword" EP several times, I can say that it's mission successful for Moving Mountains. It's just as ground-breaking as the first album, if not more so. Every single note sounds like it was agonizingly chosen and they each emote on a level that very few other musicians can. It's extremely well produced, transitioning from periods of simplicity to extreme layering with absolute ease and smoothness. And as mind-blowing as it is in terms of musical mastery, the band's lyrics and vocals are equally as impressive; also carefully crafted, minimalist at times, but in the best of ways.

I highly recommend this album to everybody and anybody who likes music. It has a cross-genre appeal unlike alot of rock music these days. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Simply stated this album is excellent. Comparable to the Appleseed Cast but not completely, Foreword seems to be a sign that Moving Mountains just likes making good music and are getting better at it with time. As do all good bands. Though I wished the album had more songs...
