Brian “Skylark’ Crawford has it bad for veterinarian Dr. Daisy Schneider. He just wants to spend time with her. Sky ends up volunteering at a nursing home, Boys and Girls club and even works with her church group to build a house. If that is not love – then what could it be? He even keeps the stray cat he had planned to give away - just to have an excuse to see this dishy vet. Dr. Daisy has some secrets of her own. She does not want to get involved with this handsome “badboy” Navy flyboy.

Things to ponder: Will Daisy and Sky ever overcome the tragedies in their past to get together? Will Sky ever get help for his PTSD? Will Daisy ever open her heart to love again?

This second in the Love In The Fleet series grabbed me in from the very beginning. The author weaves a tale that brings together all the threads in the end which makes for great storytelling. This is one action-packed sexy read. Throw in some drug smuggling and a dangerous mission and you will be riveted to the edge of your seat. I loved the cameo appearances of some favorite characters from Forgive and Forget. This book kept me up all night so I could finish and see how it all turned out. I can’t wait to read the next in this pleasing series. Heather, I hope you are busy planning and plotting your next book. So if you like a story that is filled with military men, then salute and start reading Forget Me Not.

Forget Me Not, the second in Heather Ashby’s Love In The Fleet Series captivates from the first page and doesn’t let up until the last.

Sky and Daisy, seeming to be complete opposites, are two very smart, snappy characters who invite you into their colorful world at first glance. He’s a bad boy Navy helicopter pilot, a love ‘em and leave ‘em type who refers to his latest fling as his “chick-du-jour.” His intention of unloading a stray cat at a local veterinary clinic becomes a life changing moment when the hot veterinarian, Daisy Schneider, walks into the room.

While Daisy can’t ignore the fact that Sky is a handsome man with a captivating personality and beguiling sense of humor, nonetheless, for reasons Daisy does not reveal to him, he is completely off limits. He does everything in his power to draw her to him, and succeeds at every turn to make certain the two end up together in the same room or at the same event. She should run. But time and again, she finds herself caught up in his game of “Conquer Daisy.” Soon, she learns she was wrong in both her shallow assessment of him and in his capabilities. Very wrong. But by then, Sky is sent off on a dangerous mission, something Daisy has feared all along.

You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens with these two, but I must say, Miss Ashby tells a story like an artist paints—first with broad strokes and then with fine attention to detail. The detail she injects into the story, from the intricate workings of a Navy helicopter ( so skillfully woven in, you feel like you’re inside the machine) to drug running cocaine production is so captivating, it makes you want to stay up all night to find out what happens next – which I did.

Every woman would loved to be "wooed" the way Sky wooed Daisy. This is another feel good book that will have you smiling while you read it! Love the way Heather Ashby's lead women are all strong, intelligent, successful women who know what they are looking for and won't settle for nothing less. Great read.............

Forget Me Not, the second of Heather Ashby's Love in the Fleet series, is even better than the first, Forgive and Forget. This is Sky's story, the unforgettable helicopter jockey, playboy, from book one. The man women panted after, which he enjoyed no end, until he met Daisy, a veterinarian and war widow, who made him rethink his lifestyle, though she paid him no mind, until he brought in his cat named Daisy Mae.

There are very few male authors who can tell a story from a woman's viewpoint, such as Richard Paul Evans and Nicholas Sparks. And there are even fewer female authors who can crawl inside a male character's head and realistically portray his thoughts. Nora Roberts is one. Move over, Nora, for here comes Heather Ashby! Having read the book, I feel I really know Sky, the Navy nickname of Brian Crawford, Naval Academy grad and helicopter pilot, winsome and attractive, with a little boy grin and a heart full of lust for life and the ladies.

Here is an inside look into what life can be like for our veterans who return from combat with PTSD, often hidden from themselves and their loved ones until revealed in dreams and changed personalities. And also an accurate description of the cooperation between the US Navy and Coast Guard as they work to fight against narco-terrorists to interdict drugs being smuggled into the US. Suspense and tension abound in this story that is so much more than a romance.
