5.0 out of 5 stars Daniel Schorr - a journalist for the ages!, September 30, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Forgive Us Our Press Passes, Selected Works by Daniel Schorr (1972-1998) (Paperback)
I have enjoyed listening to Daniel Schorr on National Public Radio for many years. I am so glad to find a collection of his writings that is both insightful and fun to read. This collection highlights some of the best this extraordinary journalist has to offer. Particularly enjoyable is his detailing of the Nixon Watergate affair - a scandal Mr. Schorr was very much a part of uncovering. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the media, current events, and how journalism has developed over the past forty years. A great book!

This review is from: Forgive Us Our Press Passes, Selected Works by Daniel Schorr (1972-1998) (Paperback)
Before, Daniel Schorr was simply a figure on my tv or a voice on my radio. Reading this book I have finally met Daniel Schorr. Now I know what makes a great journalist!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely incredible -- an inspiration to all Americans!, September 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Forgive Us Our Press Passes, Selected Works by Daniel Schorr (1972-1998) (Paperback)
This book is simply fantastic. It contains numerous examples of why the right to free speech is necessary, and explores the eras in which this country has had to question the importance of such freedoms in regard to national affairs.

This collection also acts as a tremendous biography of one of the greatest journalists of our time. By charting Schorr's career, each article simply goes straight to the point of showing how our country has evolved and continues to struggle with dominance of the government and the protection of individual liberties.

This is a must read for everyone interested in journalism, communication, politics and the law. Thank you to the publishers for this generous contribution to academia.
