Worth it for He's Alive.,
This review is from: Forgiven (Audio CD)
That one song has to be one of the best in CCM. It tells the story of the resurrection from Peter's eyes. It is very true to the Bible in its lyrics. Adam Where Are You is another solid song. This album has been forgotten by people who like heavier music. Don't let the long hair and early 70's look fool you. This album is for people of all ages. Truely sensational!

The Power of Forgiveness,
By
This review is from: Forgiven (Audio CD)
Little music touches my soul like this does. Don Francisco has a way of reaching in to the soul of people and feeling the reality of the inward work of Christ. This is one of the most powerful of his works. Anointed by God in my opinion!

Forgiven,
By A Customer
This review is from: Forgiven (Audio CD)
Some of the songs on the album will appeal to the children, but still have an adult message. "He's Alive" is probably one of the greatest songs about Christ's resurrection; "I Don't Care Where You've Been Sleeping" is a song to which most of us can relate and is very powerful, as is "Adam, Where Are You?" God's unconditional love is a very real theme in this album, although not a "new" contemporary Christian artist, his songs are timeless and have had special meaning for me over the years. I would recommend it to anyone.

Bringing Back Memories,

This review is from: Forgiven (Audio CD)
I remember going on road trips with my dad and hearing this CD (well cassette back then) playing. The songs and messages of the songs stuck with my heart until I purchased a new copy. Each song is masterfully written, many filled with deep spiritual meaning. If you're looking for music to lift your spirit and draw you closer to Christ, this is a must-have collection.

Don's BEST recording ever!,
By
This review is from: Forgiven (Vinyl)
Without a doubt, Don Francisco's "sophomore effort" album (his second) is far superior to the first album he recorded. Usually the second album is judged by the standards set by the first, but this album is in my opinion the better of the two.
Album was recorded between 1976 and 1977 in Nashville, using Shane Keister (producer and keyboardist for many country and Christian musicians) and John W. Thompson (co-author of Amy Grant's "El Shaddai") as producers. The musician roster includes Nashville studio musicians and familiar names: Steve Gibson (guitars), Shane Keister (keyboards, piano), Larry Londin (drums), Buddy Emmons (steel guitar, dobro), Joe Osborne (bass) and Buddy Spicher (violin). Interestingly enough, the musical arrangements do not include fancy sequencing or excessive keyboard usage. Most songs here are simple and arranged in a way that most musicians can play along or duplicate them without much difficulty. There are NO what I call "filler" songs on this album! Every song has a point and purpose to it. They all gell together well to make a strong effort. There are copies of this recording still available on vinyl, cassette and CD, despite being out of print. Buy it -- you will not be disappointed! The song listing on this Amazon.com entry page is missing the most well-known song of Don's career and that does appear on this album ... "HE'S ALIVE." Blessings ... Ray

I got this for a Christmas present for my mom because we have the record but don`t ever listen to it just because we have so many records. My mom really loved it and now she listens to it in the car all the time. I`m so thankful that this has been made available so that great memories can be relived once again.

To date, the best album from my childhood,
By
This review is from: Forgiven (Audio CD)
Don Francisco is my all time favorite childhood musician. He tells a story to music like none other I've seen. I was even able to share it with my children and they too hold a special place in their hearts for these songs. I am grateful for his timeless music and am convinced that God had his hand all over this one! Blessings to you, Don! Forever grateful. :)
