Hearing this song immediately reminded me of 1997's Surfacing, my favorite album from Sarah. It's a bit similar in style to "Adia", and Sarah again does an amazing job of making a fairly simple song sound beautiful. According to her, it's about coming to terms with the end of a relationship, where you go from there, drawing a line in the sand and saying this just isn't good for me.
I know it would be expecting a lot from a free download, but the acoustic rendition from the video is so good I wish they would have included the mp3 for that as well...perhaps it will be made available later. The mp3 song here starts with just vocal and piano, building slowly towards the middle and end with tasteful use of acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards, percussion and vocal harmonies. I'm glad I took the time updating the downloader...it was well worth it.
