This book is the true experience of a woman(not that Jodie Foster) and her young daughter upon moving into a haunted apartment complex. It is also the story of a woman conflicted by her fundamentalist Christian upbringing and her repression of her innate psychic abilities. Ultimately, it is the recounting of her reconciliation of the diametrically opposing beliefs of many Christian sects and the paranormal , merging and accepting them together.

While THE FORGOTTEN BURIAL ending leaves reader with questions unanswered, this was nevertheless an enjoyable, fast paced sojourn into the paranormal realm.

So many times in our lives we fight against what is and what might be, simply because we are afraid of what it come mean for ourselves and those that we love. For Jodi Foster she has known for some time that she was given a gift, but it was one that due to her upbringing and beliefs that she struggled with and even ran from.

As an adult, however, she was forced to not just accept what she had been given, but realize how it could be used to help others. In the book FORGOTTEN BURIAL we are able to see not just how she was able to give peace to a ghost from the past but find peace for herself, too.

As someone who doesn't know Jodi personally it was great to be able to see how she found herself and the calling, using it to make a difference. It was also inspiring to know that when we can accept what is given to us how we can live life differently and accomplish things we might otherwise see as impossible.

FORGOTTEN BURIAL is about not just closing a chapter on a horrible death but realizing the gift that we have when we truly decide to live.

This is a tough review to write, which is why I waited until a few days passed.

Jodi Foster undoubtedly had a horrible childhood with an unstable mother. This had an impact on her all of her life. Still, she had beautiful children and managed to live an interesting life in spite of her past and the haunting that occurred through her adult life, mainly the haunting of a murder victim who wants her to help her killers come to justice.

I had one problem with this story. Foster is continually collapsing, sobbing, crying, fainting, falling to her knees and otherwise becoming emotionally incapacitated throughout the story. I understand that she had a terrible childhood and was further traumatized by the haunting, but I kept thinking, what about the toddler who doesn't understand why mommy is collapsing and crying all the time. I choose to believe that Foster may have exaggerated her hysterical behavior. Still, all the collapsing and crying was a distraction and, more than once, I considering giving up on this book. Perhaps some careful editing was in order here.

As someone who has experienced the unknown for most of my life, I found Jodi's book to be very interesting to say the least. It's very well written and Jodi keeps the reader captivated by her very frightening and intense account. Forgotten Burial is a great read and I highly recommend it!

I read this book after seeing the story on Paranormal Witness. I wanted to know more details. I wanted to know what became of victims and the murderers. I hope she writes a second part to find out the rest of story. I don't want to give out a spoiler. So all I can say is its a really good, true story. It starts out fast, then middle part of book is a bit slow and repetitive, BUT after it gets really interesting and you realize the little things that happened in the slow, repetitive part of book was important and it all comes rushing together in the last three or four chapters! I'm glad I stuck with it.

I heard Ms Foster on Darkness Radio. She wasn't necessarily a good interview, but the details of her story were interesting. I didn't need to hear the details of a gruesome murder, which I now feel were unnecessary to include, but Ms Foster's spiritual journey, albeit due to a horrifying haunting, was fascinating. It seems she is now understanding of her experiences, and has found peace for herself and others.

Not the worst but I am sorry I spent that much money on it because it was not worth it...I didn't connect it with "Jody Foster" the actress when I ordered it BUT then I thought it was about her, however I finally realized there were two Jody Fosters.......the actress And the novelist.....JODI versus JODY.....
