5.0 out of 5 stars a mother's story
My son, Christopher Colt Kelley, was murdered on December 21, 2001. He was 15 years old and he was a real Juggalo. He used to try and get me to play ICP cd's all the time whenever we were riding in the car together and I wouldn't listen to them. When he was murdered I took the time to sit and listen to what he was in to. I haven't stopped listening to ICP yet. I met...

3.0 out of 5 stars ICP at their darkest
This CD has all kinds of cool Halloween stuff they only gave out to fans in clown makeup at their shows. Much, much better in my humble opinion (I don't generally like rap) than "Milenko" or their new album. This album is absolutely evil, and very fun to listen to because all the tracks were recorded separately and sound very different. ICP finally got to...

I met Violent J once before Shangri-La came out and I told him all about my son. He held my hand and told me in these words that I will never forget, "You should not be sad that he is gone, you should always look at it like this, whenever it rains, that's him Raining Diamonds down on you." Then Shangri-La dropped and I heard It Rains Diamonds...and I could not stop crying. Now I am a 37 year old Juggalette and I'll be that way 'til I'm dead in the ground. My son was buried with an ICP shirt on and a Hatchetman round his neck. And I plan on going the same way. Everyone has their own thoughts about ICP and the Dark Carnival...but if you're not a true Juggalo....you'll never get it. MCL and R.I.P. Colt....we miss you.

ICP finally got to release their material the way it was originally intended. Don't be scared off by ICP's admonition "some of this stuff sucks..." I just don't agree, in fact I think that if half of these tunes had been on their last three albums, they'd be more universally respected by now. As for the racist remarks from one of the reviewers that preceded me, I hope someday someone will lighten up and enjoy things for what they are. P.S. James Brown rules.

All i can say is WOW.This album is so good it's not even funny. It has all the best songs, from songs that never made it onto albums to songs ICP gave away at their concerts to songs that just suck. This is classic ICP.This is old school ICP singing ghetto rap.A must buy in my book.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Is The One, December 29, 1998

This review is from: Forgotten Freshness: Vols. 1 & 2 (Audio CD)
If there is only one cd you buy this year Forgotten Freshness (FF) is it. Putting togather all of ICP greatest hits, FF is a must have, not for just ICP fans, but for all music lovers! Not only does it contain rare and uncut songs such as "Dead Pumpkins", "Fat Sweaty Betty" and "Halloween On Military Street" but it also contains some of the more popular songs such as "Fxck Off", "Santas a fat Bxtch" a very very cool remixes of "Hokus Pokus" and a wicked old school version of "Piggy Pie" On a scale of 1 being the worst, 10 the best, I would give Forgotten Freshness a whopping 15 on the "ICP o' Meter". ITS A MUST HAVE!

5.0 out of 5 stars RARE AND GREAT ICP TRACKS, March 17, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Forgotten Freshness: Vols. 1 & 2 (Audio CD)
Finally some of the greatest rare ICP tracks ever. Every song is the shxt! some old, some new (and you can tell which is which). "Piggy Pie" is the way it should've been on Melinko. It also includes "Dog Beats" the very first ICP (then known as Inner City Posse) song. BUY THIS ALBUM!
