Psycho-intellectual self-indulgence,
By Snowy Marigold (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Forgotten Memories: A Journey Out of the Darkness of Sexual Abuse (Hardcover)
I was very disappointed in this book and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The author uses the first half of the book to tell about how her first analyst did her wrong. It's reminiscent of a bad country music song that goes on and on and on. What follows is disjointed, uninspired, redundant and overly intellectual. I wanted to hear about memories of sexual abuse and how that impacted her life, but the author fails to provide any substance other than her intellectualizations.
