5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Story, September 4, 2000

This review is from: Forgotten Pilots: Story of the Air Transport Auxiliary, 1939-45 (Hardcover)
Ms. Curtis gives detailed information about what is was like to be a woman pilot in the British Air Transport Auxiliary during World War II. She tells much about where the women were based the types of aircraft they flew. The types of trips they flew and the danger that not only the women faced, but that all of the pilots of the ATA handled. It was interesting to read about what was going on in England with women pilots while the United States was putting off using women to ferry airplanes.
