Best book of human interest stories of all military personal I have ever read. Funny, sad, touching--this book has a full range of emotions. A must read for all Americans.

I really got in to this book. The stories about the Veterans and the VA staff members were humerous and, in some cases, very tragic. This book really does make you aware, from real veteran cases, just how many vets struggle with the adjustments they have to go through to get back to the life as they knew it before their military service.

Very moving.,

Thank you, Steve, for a very moving account of your experiences both in your own service and your time working with the veterans as a recreational therapist. I strongly recommend this book to all - veterans will find it very supportive and those who haven't been in the military will feel significant gratitude to those who have.

forgotten veterans,
This review is from: The Forgotten Veterans (Paperback)
This is a wonderful book, not only does it inform about the adjustments to life after war but gives a history of the town of Sheridan, Wy and the internal workings of the Veterans Administration. It truly had emotions of shock, sadness, laughter and true dedication of the care-givers to our military.
