I'm about halfway through the book at the moment. . . however, I've been touched so deeply by the stories included in this book! The stories are real and you can related to them. Great scripture references for you to put to memory and use in your own life to help you learn to "forgrace" others. Read the book to find out what this word means. . .I can't wait to finish the book and pass it on! You will want to do the same once you're done!

Perhaps if you have been wronged some time ago and are looking for a way to help you through it, this could be useful to you. However, if you are currently in a situation where you are being abused and looking for a way to forgive while being abused, GET A DIFFERENT BOOK.I like the concept of not seeking revenge as part of forgiveness. I like the part about moving to bless those who curse you. However, his roadmap to get there I see little Biblical grounds for following: 1) Let everything go (don't take legal action---great for those being abused, just let it go). Using this step I guess Jesus sinned because he didn't let the moneychangers go---he threw them out. This is oversimplification and not helpful. The second step: Pray about it and everything, well, I didn't need to buy the book to know that. I returned the book. Back in the 90's I read some books along this line by David Augsburger that seemed a lot more practical (and Biblical) than this. I'm going back to look at those. I'm very dissapointed. This is the first book from IVP in some time I would say: "Don't buy this."
