This review is from: Forlorn (Audio CD)
Looking for some soul-crushingly bleak doom/death metal in the vein of Morgion, My Dying Bride, and November's Doom? Look no further than the short-lived (and greatly missed) Mindrot.
Mindrot's 1995 single/EP Forlorn features three tracks - Forlorn, Withersoul, and Dreaded Light. The first two tracks can be found on the band's 1995 album Dawning, but Dreaded Light is exclusive to this disc. Dreaded Light is as good a song as you'd find on either of Mindrot's full-length albums, and while it can be frustrating to buy a disc for just one new song, Forlorn is cheap enough to make it worth picking up, if for no other reason than to complete your Mindrot catalog. |
