This 1 piece whitening tray does not require you to boil it to fit to your mouth. I previously had a whitening tray that you have to boil and it was a mess. This unit is much simpler. All you need to do is pop it in your mouth and swallow several times for a tight fit. During the whitening process you maintain a light suction to keep the gel in place against your teeth. Clean-up is a snap; just rinse the tray and place it in the included container. The container is a nice feature to keep the tray clean while not in use. This unit is thicker than some other trays (some might find it bulky) but I think it is very well constructed. Overall, I find this to be a very high quality product and I recommend it to others.

The tray is good quality - it doesn't really "self form" in the sense that it keeps the shape of your teeth after first use (which is what I was expecting)... it's pliable and sticks well to your teeth while using the whitener. I'm glad it comes with a little case so you can protect it! I didn't even try the free tray that comes with Watt's Power Whitening gels because they sounded so horrible, so I can't provide any comparison with those.
ONLY thing is that, at first, I didn't know what to do with all the saliva that inevitably collects in your mouth while whitening... but I found that laying back keeps the saliva away from the whitener so it's not so disgusting to swallow AND allows the gel to work at it's without being diluted by spit! =P
