THE way to go for nail fungus!
on May 2, 2011
When I first developed toenail fungus (onychomycosis) I was prescribed an oral agent to kill it back. I was to take three rounds of the medicine, a month apart. It made me feel awful, and after two rounds, I could not tolerate a third. The small improvements I had seen disappeared shortly thereafter (yet I still had the side effects from the liver congestion). Then I tried various topical treatments, none of which worked. Finally, I saw a podiatrist who confirmed that the previous topical I had used wasn't very effective, and told me to take Formula 3, that it was very effective, and WOULD get rid of it. The podiatrist said to paint the Formula 3 on every morning and evening.
She was right -- it definitely works! After 6 months my toes looked much better and the discolored area was lighter in color, but not entirely gone. I continued for about a year after that (while the nail grew out again) and then it was 100% gone! Also, one toenail had become deformed and now it is shaped normally. I can wear flip flops again and not have to put on nail polish to hide my ugly nails!! As a previous poster said, don't use nail polish while using Formula 3 so it can absorb through the nail to kill the fungus underneath. (Altho' my doc said it was ok for me to wear polish for a beach trip and resume afterwards.) I also forgot to apply it at times, and it still did the job.
I believe I went through 3 1/2 bottles of this stuff in all. Well worth it! It doesn't hurt your liver like oral meds and is very effective. When looking at this on Amazon, they were currently out of stock, so I don't know their price, but I believe my podiatrist charged $40 a bottle.
