5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Blade - Bar None
A little "pricey" but well worth it! No other saw blade on the market can compete with Forrest. It blows Freud away. Quiet, no vibration, flat & true and your cuts look like they were sanded with 200 grit sandpaper. And that's just the product. Before buying this blade I had questions about the kerf width so I called Forrest. It was after hours I...

1.0 out of 5 stars Swirls...
I have purchased two of these and sent both back. Test cuts showed swirls. I owned a prior blade and used it for years with excellent results. Their quality control has slipped.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Blade - Bar None, August 19, 2003
This review is from: Forrest CM10806105 Chopmaster 10-Inch 80 Tooth ATBR Miter and Radial Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor (Tools & Home Improvement)
It was after hours I didn't expect an answer, but Mr. Forrest himself answered the phone. I was blown away that he answers his own phone; try to get the president of Freud on the phone. He and I spoke for a good 15-20 minutes. Mr. Forrest personally told me if for any reason I didn't like HIS blade he would buy it back from me no questions asked. He also told me in all his years in business he has never had to buy back a blade. It say's a lot when someone stands behind their product like that. Simply the best... Bar none!

5.0 out of 5 stars Freud vs. Forrest?, July 18, 2000

I've owned the Freud LU85 & F80 crosscut blades. They in no way compare to the quality of the Chopmaster. The Forrest has no vibration at all! I mean none. The plate is so flat & true, when you pull the triger it feels like there isn't even a blade on the saw. It's also very quiet as well, no ringing after the blade comes to a stop. It cuts hardwood so smooth it's like it's been sanded to 600 grit paper. It cuts softwood very good to. I also considered the Ridge Carbide TS 1000 & Tenryu Miter Pro. They are all about the same price. I doubt you could go wrong with these two blades either. So spend the extra $... . Forget about Freud! They make good router bits, but their saw blades are just average compared to Forrest. It's like a Civic vs. a Ferrari....

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Performance, August 19, 2005
This review is from: Forrest CM10806105 Chopmaster 10-Inch 80 Tooth ATBR Miter and Radial Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor (Tools & Home Improvement)
Without a doubt, the very best blade I've used on my Makita Slide/Compound Miter Saw. I am a Contractor/Trim Carpenter and have used many different blades over the years. You simply can't go wrong with this product. Not the least expensive blade by any means, but unquestionably the best.

Really cuts great. I installed it on my Porter Cable Sliding compound miter saw and it performs just great. No need to sand after a cut is made with this baby...

This review is from: Forrest CM10806105 Chopmaster 10-Inch 80 Tooth ATBR Miter and Radial Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is a dream saw blade for precise miter cuts. You won't believe how clean and smooth your finished cuts are. No sanding required! I can't say enough about this tool other than I wish it wasn't so darned expensive. But, believe me, you get what you pay for.

I have it on my Bosch 10" Sliding Miter. The best saw deserves the best blade. Cuts quickly, cleanly and smootly. I thought "glass like finish" was just a marketing gimick. It is the truth. Buy one and you will never go back.

This one is my third Forrest Blade. I have one on both my portable and bench table saws. This one is on a Makita L1013 Sliding Miter Saw and, like the others, it cuts so smooth that planing is not required. I have purchased cheaper and more expensive blades, but none equal this in performance.

This blade is worth it's high cost! The cuts are smooth as glass and there is very little or no splintering on the back side. I would recomend this to anyone that is tired of poor quality cuts produced by other blades.

I am a custom home builder and we do extensive wood trim in our homes. I bought this blade on the reviews and Forrest reputation, and have not been sorry. The blade performs flawlessly and will out-cut any of my Freud, De-Walt and other trim blades. Buy it - you won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heck of a blade, September 14, 2010

This review is from: Forrest CM10806105 Chopmaster 10-Inch 80 Tooth ATBR Miter and Radial Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor (Tools & Home Improvement)
I was recently given a Milwaukee sliding compound miter saw equipped with the original blade. It was leaving a lot if tear out in some pine lumber I was using for a project. I decided to splurge on a good blade, so I bought the Chopmaster. When it arrived, I installed it on my saw and, with trembling hands, made my first few crosscuts. (Today's safety tip: Never operate power tools with trembling hands!) I was blown away by the results. The cuts came out extremely clean and smooth. What really impressed me, though, was that the blade made almost no sound as it cut through the wood. Now I understand why some blades are so much more expensive than others. I wasn't planning on upgrading my table saw blade any time soon, but based on my experience with this blade, I will be ordering the Woodworker II within the next few weeks.
