A must- listen Violin Concerto!,
By Hiram Gomez Pardo (Valencia, Venezuela) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Forther: Violin Concerto; Beethoven: Violin Concerto, Op. 61 (Audio CD)
This composer is one the most known exponents of the German generation which affirmed itself after the immediate years around the WW2 . Legitimate son of the Dodecaphonic School, his style reminds us to Hindemith with visible reminiscences of Bartok and Stravisnky. His Concerto for Violin and Orchestra has a net virtuosi character. The central movement concentrates the lyrical nucleus. In what Beethoven 's Violin Concerto there are better options. |
