Fortitude has been anointed by God's presence in their lives. Their gift of song has truly been inspirational to my spirit. This CD is highly recommended for anyone who loves Christ and desires to be in his presence. To each of the guys, keep God first in your lives and he will continue to exalt you. The project shows that you have had an AWESOME encounter with JESUS!BC

I really do like contemporary gospel male groups. When I came upon Fortitude I decided to give them a try. When listening to this album they can easily be compared to Men of Standard or Commissioned. Overall the songs were nice. My favorites were:He's Alright - 4/5 My Faith - 5/5 really liked the beat on this song In Your Arms - 5/5 beautiful song Freedom - 5/5 also beautiful, liked the lyrics Let God Arise - 5/5 upbeat song Where You Go - 5/5 very nice song The other songs were nice but I think those were the best. "Question Is" was redone nicely by this group made famous by the Winans. I do agree with a reviewer who said "Dance" sounds alot like R. Kelley's "Step in the Name of Love". It reminds you a lot of it and I believe they could have done without that track. If you like Men of Standard or Commissioned I recommend that you give this group a try. Even though its been six years, I wonder if they'll come up with another album or this is just it, but anyways this one was nice and worth a listen.

I stumbled upon this CD in the music section of Wal-Mart. Go figure, huh?Anyway, I love male vocal groups, so I decided to give them a try (especially since there really are no male vocal groups in gospel besides Men of Standard). I was impressed with this album. Track by Track (Song, grade (1-5), and comment) 1. He's Alright--4--This song's alright...I love the way it just jumps into the song without the music. It lacks a little depth, but the song is nice 2. He Will Supply--4--I like the song, just don't listen to it much. 3. My Faith--5--I love this song. The first standout on the album, I can really relate to it. 4. In Your Arms--5--Another standout...mellow...love it 5. Freedom--4--Mellow, makes you think 6. Let God Arise--5--Uptempo song, my favorite on the album. Great song. 7. Question Is--4--A standout, but I think Men of Standard did this one already. No 5's for biting. 8. Dance--2--I hate this song. It sounds like Step in the Name of Love by R. Kelly...and I think Kelly should be suing. Bad song. 9. God Did It--5--My second favorite song. 10. Where You Go--5--I love this song, tied with the last one. It is beautiful. Overall, five 5-star songs, four 4-star songs, and one dud. Nine out of ten isn't bad. I think the album should be at least 13 or 14 songs long, but better to be 10 and good than to stretch it. They may seem too much like Men of Standard, but there is a place for them. They are in heavy rotation with me, along with fellow new artist Jarian (see my review), Cross Movement's Phanatik and Ambassador, Deitrick Haddon, and Men of Standard. God Bless.
