Authoritative,

This review is from: Fortran 90 Handbook: Complete Ansi/Iso Reference (Computing That Works) (Hardcover)
This is one thorough, authoritative tome on Fortran90. It is about as dry as one would expect of a reference manual, and yet it is not exactly succinct. I guess its wordiness is an unavoidable consequence of Fortran's longevity (backward compatibility with earlier versions of Fortran requires many a lengthy explanation).

If you're in the need of a FORTRAN90 reference manual, here it is: don't buy anything else.
This book contains everything one needs to know about F90. PAY ATTENTION: there aren't a lot of examples in this book. Just a few lines here and there. If you need a book like 'how to...' this isn't the one for you. Here ytou'll find every keyword, construct, syntax used in F90.

I still haven't received this item, when it arrives I will be happy, just hope it arrives before my son has to do his exam for this subject.
